IT’S A WRAP
For swaddling, or as a mat or burp cloth,
muslin wraps are a baby essential. Get yours
in organic cotton from local label Mama Maya
and do your bit for charity. Each wrap comes
in a reusable drawstring bag and is made
in a fair-trade factory in India, but the best bit
is that for each one sold, Mama Maya will fund
birthing kits and caregiver
training through Birthing
Kit Foundation Australia
to help mothers in
developing countries.

DOORTRAITS
“IF you weren’t already obsessed with front
doors, you’re about to be!” read a recent
lifestyle post on people.com.
At the time, it’s true to say, we were not
obsessed with front doors, unless you mean
running back from the car three times to
check we definitely locked it on the way
out. But when it comes to trends, we do
as we’re told and so we’ve become fans and
followers of the “doortrait”.
That is, arty pictures of front doors from
around the world, all helpfully searchable
under the Instagram hashtag #doortrait.

“Knock,

V1 - MHSE01Z01WE
section described people like us as “doorcrazed”, citing the popularity of accounts
like @doors_of_england and
@ihaveathingforwalls.
Aside from useful social analysis, the
article threw up questionable synonyms for
the word “door” in its quest for variety.
“A graphic designer,” the story said,
“who lives in suburban London said
attending church services as a young boy
sparked his interest in urban portals.”
Which does make you think, gosh did
we definitely turn off the iron and lock the
urban portal before we left this morning?
