Why should I use the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card over other cards?  Your Mabuhay Miles Travel Card earns 1 Mile for every Php100 (or its equivalent in foreign currency) spent. Soon, these miles may be used to redeem PAL Travel Extras or goods/services from our participating Program Partners.  It is the only Travel Card that contains a PHP wallet so you can use it both in domestic and international transactions.  It is a multi‐currency card that will allow you to spend in the supported local currency without worry of fluctuating exchange rates.  By being able to spend using the local currency, it will also allow you to manage your funds better while you travel.  Skip the call to your bank when converting your points to Miles. Your Miles will be credited directly to your Mabuhay Miles account, not to your Travel Card account. 2. What’s the difference between the existing Mabuhay Miles Membership Card and this new Mabuhay Miles Travel Card? 

For Elite, Premiere Elite or Million Miler members, your Mabuhay Miles Membership Card will 1) remain solely as a membership card and 2) will indicate your tier status and benefits. The Travel Card will function as your multi‐currency prepaid card. For Classic members, the Travel Card will serve as both the membership card and the multi‐
currency prepaid card. 3. Where can I use my Mabuhay Miles Travel Card?  You can use the currencies in your Travel Card in stores worldwide that accept UnionPay. You can also use your Travel Card to withdraw cash and check your currency balance at BancNet ATMs in the Philippines and international ATMs that accept UnionPay.  Soon, you can use your Travel Card Miles to redeem goods or services at participating Program Partners. We are also currently working on using your Travel Card to redeem PAL Travel Extras (Prepaid Baggage, Travel Insurance, etc.) to be available at the soonest possible time. 4. Where is UnionPay accepted?  UnionPay’s footprint has expanded and is widely accepted in 157 countries and regions, at more than 34 million merchants and over 2 million ATMs worldwide. In ASEAN, UnionPay has enabled ATM, POS acceptance and card issuance across all 10 countries. In the Philippines, UnionPay works with OmniPay, PNB, BDO, Bank of China, and RCBC. 5. What is the difference between Miles and Travel Card Miles?  Miles are earned from Qualified Purchases (both flight and non‐flight), valid activities with Program Partners, and Qualified Purchases made with your Travel Card. Travel Card Miles are your Miles that were loaded into your Travel Card via the Travel Card website (https://travelcard.mabuhaymiles.com).  Please note that once you have loaded your Miles into the Travel Card, you may not have it credited back to your Mabuhay Miles account. 6. How do I activate and load currency into my Mabuhay Miles Travel Card? 
Load and Activate your Travel Card at any of our affiliated Loading Stations: 1. Selected PAL Ticket Offices  Load from 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday at the following Ticket Offices: o Binondo Ticket Office o Century Park Ticket Office o Cubao Ticket Office o Filinvest Ticket Office o Makati Ticket Office o Ortigas Avenue Ticket Office o PAL‐PNB Ticket Office o Quezon Avenue Ticket Office  Fill out the Loading Slip (available from the Cashier) and present your Travel Card.  Accepts USD and PHP bank notes and can load into other currency wallets, subject to conversion rates. 2. Mabuhay Miles Service Center  Load from 8:30am – 4:30pm, Monday – Friday  Fill out the Loading Slip (available from the Cashier) and present your Travel Card.  Accepts USD and PHP bank notes and can load into other currency wallets, subject to conversion rates. 3. Inter‐Bank Funds Transfer via BancNet ATMs  Availability of this feature is dependent on your bank. Your bank’s transaction fees may apply.  For Inter‐Bank Funds Transfer via PNB ATMs, you may follow these steps: o Insert your PNB card. o Select “Transfers.” o Select your source account. o Select “To Other Bank Account.” o Select “OmniPay, Inc.” as the bank to transfer funds to. o Input your 16‐digit Travel Card number found at the back of your Mabuhay Miles Travel Card. o Input the amount you wish to transfer. 


Local currency is the legal tender in the place where the Member is physically located at the time of the transaction. For instance, if you are in Hong Kong, the local currency is Hong Kong Dollars (HKD). If you are in Japan, the local currency is Japanese Yen (JPY). 9. What if the local currency is not supported by the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card?  You may still use your Travel Card at destinations where the local currency is not supported by your card. In such cases, your transaction will be converted (subject to foreign currency exchange rates) and deducted from your other currency wallets, beginning from your default currency (USD), until there is enough funds for the transaction to proceed. 10. What if the amount of local currency in my Mabuhay Miles Travel Card is insufficient for my purchase?  In cases of insufficient local currency for the purchase, your Travel Card will automatically convert and debit the currency from your other wallets (subject to foreign currency exchange rates) until there is enough funds for the transaction to proceed.  If the combined funds of the different wallets is insufficient for the purchase, your Travel Card will be declined for insufficient funds. 11. How do I load Miles to my Mabuhay Miles Travel Card? 





How do I earn Mabuhay Miles using the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card? 

You earn 1 Mile for every PHP100.00 (or converted equivalent in foreign currency) spent on Qualified Purchases using your Travel Card. Miles are computed for each single‐receipt transaction. For instance, if you have a single‐receipt transaction of an equivalent of PHP 299.00, you will earn 2 Miles. 13. Which transactions will not earn Mabuhay Miles? 
The following transactions will not earn Mabuhay Miles: a.) Money Orders b.) Purchase of foreign currencies in Cash c.) Currency Conversion within the Travel Card d.) Transactions between two (2) or more Travel Cards e.) Cash Withdrawals f.) Refunded Transactions g.) Charge Back Transactions 14. Will my Miles be immediately reflected on my account every time I make a purchase? 
Your earned Miles will be credited to your Mabuhay Miles account, not to your Mabuhay Miles Travel Card, within 30 days from the date of purchase. 15. Will my Miles earned from purchases with the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card count towards my Tier Miles for elite status?  Only earned Flight Miles on Philippine Airlines will count towards your Tier Miles. 16. If my Miles are not sufficient for redemption, may I pay the balance in the local currency?  No, if the Miles in your Mabuhay Miles Travel Card are not sufficient, you will have to pay the entire amount of the good/service at the regular currency price. 17. How do I manage my Mabuhay Miles Travel Card?  You can manage your Travel Card by registering on the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card website.  When logged‐in, you may: o Load your Miles; o Convert between currencies within your Travel Card; o Move funds and Miles to other Travel Cards; o Change your ATM PIN; o Check your balances; and o View your transactions.  You can also withdraw and check your balance at any BancNet ATMs in the Philippines and International ATMs that accept UnionPay. 18. Schedule of Fees  All applicable Transaction Fees will be deducted from the source wallet. The Mabuhay Miles Travel Card Fees for Card Replacement and Card Renewal are exclusive of all applicable taxes. The Travel Card will be issued to active Mabuhay Miles Members with Philippine mailing addresses. Members must be at least 13 years old and above, and have a valid activity noted in their Mabuhay Miles account in the past two years. Cards will be sent to the preferred addresses indicated on their Mabuhay Miles profiles via courier at the soonest possible time. 21. What is a valid activity?  A valid activity is any Mabuhay Miles‐related activity that is considered a basis for retaining Miles after the fixed two‐year review period. Valid activities are the following: o Earned Flight Miles on PAL and/or other Airline Partners o Earned non‐Flight Miles thru Program Partners o Redeem Miles for Award Travel and other non‐Flight redemptions o Buy/Transfer Miles 22. Why did I receive a Mabuhay Miles Travel Card even though I did not request for one?  We are issuing the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card to all active Members of the Mabuhay Miles Loyalty Program as an expression of gratitude for being with us. The Travel Card will allow Members to earn additional Miles from everyday purchases in addition to earning through Flight or non‐Flight activities through our Program Partners. 23. How do I check if my Mabuhay Miles Travel Card is on the way?  You may visit www.airspeed.com.ph and input your 9‐digit Mabuhay Miles Membership ID to check if your Travel Card is on the way. 24. I received a notification of delivery but I have not received my Mabuhay Miles Travel Card.  You may not have received your Travel Card due to the following reasons: o Your Mabuhay Miles account does not have a unique e‐mail address. It is likely that the notification you received was meant for another member with the same e‐mail address. o Your Mabuhay Miles account does not reflect your updated Philippine mailing address. o Your mobile number is not updated/could not be reached for the courier to verify your address. o No one was available to receive your Travel Card. 25. How do I request for a Mabuhay Miles Travel Card?  Your Mabuhay Miles Travel Card will be sent to you at the soonest possible time after a valid activity is noted in your Mabuhay Miles account. If you have a valid activity after November 24, 2015 but haven’t received your card, you may send an inquiry via email to [email protected]. 26. How long is the validity of my Mabuhay Miles Travel Card?  The Mabuhay Miles Travel Card is valid for use for 3 years. However, even after the expiry date, you may still use the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card as your membership card. 27. How long is the validity of my Travel Card Miles?  Your Travel Card Miles are valid up to two (2) years from the expiry of the Mabuhay Miles Travel Card.  Expired Mabuhay Miles Travel Cards renewed within the two‐year period from the expiry date will have its Travel Card miles reinstated in the new card. Travel Card Miles of Mabuhay Miles Travel Cards renewed two (2) years after the card expiry date will not be reinstated and be considered expired. 28. How do I report a lost or stolen card?  In case of lost or stolen card, you should immediately report it by calling (632) 855‐8888. To process your replacement card, kindly submit an Affidavit of Loss via the Mabuhay Miles Service Center or any Ticket Office.
