Day One: Arrival
Arrival at Bandaranaike International Airport and transfer to the
hotel of choice by luxury coach. After private check-in, take
some time to refresh and enjoy a leisurely lunch before setting
off on a late afternoon nature trail of the lush local landscape.
Evening - BBQ dinner
With the stars forming an overhead canopy, gather in the hotel
garden for a hearty BBQ dinner of the finest local ingredients.
Day Two:
Morning - Anuradhapura
Sightseeing tour of Anuradhapura by bicycle. Capital of Sri
Lanka for over 1,000 years, this is the most celebrated of the
island’s ancient ruined cities. Cycle past its many palaces,
sacred seated Buddha and the 2,250 year old Sacred Bo Tree
where Lord Buddha gained enlightenment.
Afternoon - Namaste
Pamper mind, body and spirit by taking part in a meditation
and yoga class overlooking the paddy fields.
Evening - Village Life
Experience a typical village dinner with authentic cooking and
music creating a warm and inviting ambience.
Day Three: Historical Heritage
Morning - Sigirya
Depart by farm truck convoy to explore the spectacular World
Heritage Site of Sigiriya. Perched on a 600ft sheer rock
outcrop, this ‘Fortress in the Sky’ contains the remains of a
once great palace and the only known work of Sinhala secular
painting - life size colour frescoes of 21 delicate damsels.
Afternoon - Dambulla
Continue to the sacred pilgrimage site of Damballa for lunch
and a visit of its cave monastery. Marvel at the centuries old
7 nights INCENTIVE
wall and ceiling frescoes and sculptures including the 15m
long Buddha. On to Kandy, the last royal capital of Sri Lanka
where native drummers are waiting to welcome everyone.
Evening
A special cultural show featuring traditional dance forms like
the ‘Kolam’ masked drama and live cooking stations.
Day Four: Kandy
Today is yours to discover the sights of the delightful lakeside
town of Kandy starting with the Pinnawella Elephant
Orphanage. Watch as the majestic animals are taken to the
river to bathe and munch their way through 76 kilos of green
manure while the babies are bottle fed by volunteers. Stop at
a Tea Factory to watch the process of tea production and taste
an aromatic cup. After lunch visit the Temple of the Tooth
which houses the relic of a Buddha tooth and is home to the
annual ten day Esala Perahera festival.
Evening
Sit down dinner of regional specialties served in the privacy of
the resort’s tropical garden.
Day Five: Beach Bliss
Day Seven:
A short transfer by sea plane to a beachside resort on the
southwest coast. Spend the day unwinding on the pristine
sands, soaking up the tropical sun and swimming in the
turquoise blue Indian Ocean.
Morning - Transfer to Colombo
Take a step back in time to the era of luxury steam travel.
All aboard the special charter Vice Roy train to enjoy
panoramic views from the comfort of plush seats and elegantly
furnished saloons.
Evening - Fishing Village
Enjoy an authentic fishing village dinner on the beach to the
enchanting sounds of Calypso music. Watch the skilled
fishermen at work fishing the waters and dragging their nets
along the sands before feasting on the freshly grilled catch.
Day Six: River cruise
Afternoon - City sights
Discover Colombo, a city with a long and dramatic history,
partly by personalized tuk tuk taxi. Visit landmarks including
the fort area, the bustling ‘Pettah’ bazaar, Buddhist and Hindu
temples and mosques.
Morning
After breakfast cruise along the Madhu Ganga River to see
some of the hundreds of species of plants and animals which
live in this complex coastal ecosystem of mangroves and
islands. Stop for champagne on one of the many islands.
Afternoon at leisure.
Evening
Your time in the island jewel of Sri Lanka is drawing to a close
but this evening’s seafood dinner over looking the Indian
Ocean is set to create memories to last a lifetime

Step aboard a floating restaurant in the tranquil pontoon as the
masterchef prepares a dazzling array of dishes.
Breakfast at leisure and airport departures for onward journey
home.
