A Message from USJCI National President Larry A Bohn #37024
42nd President US JCI Senate
Dear State Presidents,
In September, AVP Randy, COB Bruce, Jaycee Liaison Tom and I had the opportunity to meet
with Jaycee President Crystal, President-elect Fay and other Jaycee leaders. When asked,
"what assistance would you like from the Senate?" the answer was "training!" Jaycee chapters
across the nation are in need of training about the basics of Jaycees, how to run an effective
meeting, preparing project reports, parliamentary procedure, etc.
They have asked if we could identify Senators in each state who would be willing to train
Jaycees. They are particularly interested in recruiting Senators who would be willing to be
trained as trainers so they would be up to date with current Jaycee programs and terminology.
As you have your upcoming meetings and events would you please present this opportunity to
your members and send the information back to me as soon as possible.
Thanks for your assistance! Larry
For all you Senators receiving this electronic update, please contact Scott Fitzgerald #63745,
[email protected], [email protected], with your willingness to train Jaycees. I know I have spoken
with many of you over the past several months and your interest in the survival of the Jaycees is

our communities improving our lives.

The answer to the Allen Hauberg #8509 trivia question:
15-Star Flag Over Greene Ville
The first time the Star Spangled Banner, a fifteen star flag, was flown over an American army
headquarters was probably in Greene Ville. A local historian, Frazer Wilson cites journals from
1795.
