What are Quarterly Rewards?
As a way to celebrate the student’s
dedication to being Safe, Respectful and
Responsible at Jefferson Elementary School,
the staff has built in whole school rewards
each quarter. The end of first quarter will be
celebrated with an all school tug of war
competition. May the “strongest” class win!
PAWS
Students can earn PAWS for showing Safe,
Respectful and Responsible behavior in class
and throughout the building. These PAWS are
collected in their classrooms for class rewards
as well as saving some for the school store
that comes around once a month. Some lucky
students each month will also have their name
drawn for Pizza with the Principal. Woo-Hoo!

Quarterly Family Prize Drawing
Families that return the slip at the bottom of this
newsletter are entered each month into a quarterly
prize raffle. Slips due FEB. 1.

How can you support cool tools at home?
Being kind to our friends is a skill we need to
learn to make and keep friendships
throughout our lives.. Please help your child by
modeling manners and kinds words to others
in your home so they know how to treat their
friends and others kindly. When you lead by
example, your child will follow your kind
behavior.
Perfect Attendance Incentive
Don’t forget to come to school every
day this quarter so you can earn your
slip for the bicycle drawing!
For every quarter of perfect
attendance, a student gets 1 chance to
win the bicycle on display in the atrium.
More quarters of perfect attendance,
the better your odds. You can do it!!
Principal’s Message
Hard to imagine we are already done with the first quarter
of school. We have already done lots of work and are
ready to take on 2nd quarter with determination and focus.
This year we have been emphasizing the character traits
that make successful citizens. It is fun to see the students
helping each other and working hard to be positive members
of our Jefferson community of learners.
Don’t forget about conferences on Nov 17th and Nov 18th!
