GARDENS:
When preparing new garden areas, till a 3-6 inch layer of Planting
Mix to a minimum depth of 8-12 inches. Water thoroughly after
planting. For exceptional results, feed your plants with FoxFarm
Fertilizer products during growth and bloom seasons.
Earthworm Castings are Alive!
RAISED BEDS:
Prepare planting beds by amending existing soil with composted
organic matter. Fill the top 8-12 inches of bed with FoxFarm Original
Planting Mix.
Earthworm castings are known to have an extraordinary effect on plant
life. They are one of the most enriched soil conditioners available. A
healthy earthworm culture is bursting with life, full of regenerative
organic material that plants thrive on. That’s why FoxFarm products are
never steam sterilized.

Bat Guano has been known since ancient times to be a beneficial organic
soil amendment which has a powerful effect on all kinds of plants.

ESTABLISHED GARDENS:
Top dress a 3-inch layer of Planting Mix around existing plants and
carefully work into the soil.
TREES, SHRUBS AND ROSES:
Dig a hole 2-3 times the diameter of the plant’s root mass and 3-6
inches deeper. Place enough Planting Mix into the hole so that the
root mass is positioned at the correct height. Secure plant in place
while adding more Planting Mix around the root mass until hole is
almost full. Press firmly around perimeter of the plant and water
thoroughly. Do not pack too tight. Fill hole to the top and water
again. Make your neighbors jealous by using FoxFarm Fertilizers &
Liquid Plant Food concentrates in conjunction with our soil mixes.
LAWNS:
Treat new lawns as new gardens. For established lawns, aerate or spike
lawn well, then spread Planting Mix evenly over surface. Work into
grass with a rake. Water thoroughly.
GARDENING TIP:
Flush any potting soil several times with fresh water to ensure the most
optimum environment for young delicate roots.
