Recommendation: Staff recommends that the Council authorize the Mayor to sign the documents
related to the Emergency Shelter Grant for the Mission of Hope in the ODOC approved reduced amount
of $37,125.

Background Information: On May 16, 2016, the City Council approved the grant application for the
Mission of Hope operating through the City of Stillwater. The amount requested on May 16 th was
$50,000. The grant has been approved by Oklahoma Department of Commerce at a reduced amount of
$37,125. The match is being provided by the Mission of Hope Homeless Shelter under the direction of
the Stillwater Housing Authority.
