Example 3:
A plan of a rectangular garden is shown. The side length of each grid square is 2 meters.
a) Give the coordinates of point A, B, C and D.
b) Find the length and width of the garden in meters.
c) Find the Perimeter of the garden.
d) Find the Area of the garden.
e) There is a palm tree planted at point E in the garden at a distance of 12 meters from line
segment AB and 4 meters from line segment AD. Give the coordinates of point E and plot it
on the coordinate plane.
