propiconazole and 150 g/l difenoconazole
For the control of powdery mildew (Erysiphe betae),
Rust (Uromyces betae) and Cercospora leaf spot
(Cercospora beticola) and moderate control of Ramularia beticola
in sugarbeet and fodder beet.
SAFETY PRECAUTIONS
(a) Operator protection
Engineering control of operator exposure must be used where
reasonably practicable in addition to the following protective
equipment:
WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE GLOVES AND FACE
PROTECTION (FACESHIELD) when handling the concentrate.
WEAR SUITABLE PROTECTIVE GLOVES when handling
contaminated surfaces.
However engineering controls may replace personal protective
equipment if COSHH assessment shows that they provide an
equal or higher standard of protection.
WASH SPLASHES from skin or eyes immediately.
TAKE OFF IMMEDIATELY all contaminated clothing.
WASH HANDS AND EXPOSED SKIN before eating, drinking and
after work.
IF YOU FEEL UNWELL, seek medical advice (show label where
possible).
(b) Environmental protection
To protect aquatic organisms, respect an
unsprayed buffer zone distance to surface water
bodies in line with LERAP requirements.
DO NOT ALLOW DIRECT SPRAY from horizontal
boom sprayers to fall within 5 m of the top of the
bank of a static or flowing waterbody, unless a

permits a narrower buffer zone, or within 1 m of the top of a ditch
which is dry at the time of application. Aim spray away from water.
This product qualifies for inclusion within the Local Environmental
Risk Assessment for Pesticides (LERAP) scheme. A LERAP must
be carried out in accordance with CRD published guidance before
each spraying operation from a ground crop sprayer. The results
of the LERAP must be recorded and the records kept available for
inspection for three years.
Do not contaminate water with the product or its container.
Do not clean application equipment near surface water. Avoid
contamination via drains from farmyards and roads.
RISK TO NON-TARGET INSECTS OR OTHER ARTHROPODS.
See Directions for Use.
(c) Storage and disposal
KEEP IN ORIGINAL CONTAINER, tightly closed, in a safe place
DO NOT RE-USE CONTAINER for any purpose.
RINSE CONTAINER THOROUGHLY by using an integrated
pressure rinsing device or manually rinsing three times.
Add washings to sprayer at time of filling and dispose of safely.
The (COSHH) Control of Substances Hazardous to Health
Regulations may apply to the use of this product at work.

DIRECTIONS FOR USE
IMPORTANT: This information is approved as part of the Product Label. All instructions within this
section must be carefully read in order to obtain safe and successful use of this product.
PROPERTIES OF ARMURE
ARMURE is a systemic fungicide for use on all varieties of sugarbeet and fodder beet. ARMURE has
a protective action. For best results, use ARMURE as a preventative treatment, or at least as soon as
the first symptoms of disease are seen.
DISEASE CONTROLLED
Powdery mildew (Erysiphe betae)
Cercospora leaf spot (Cercospora beticola)
Rust (Uromyces betae)
Ramularia beticola - MODERATE CONTROL
TIMING
Apply ARMURE at the first signs of the disease, before the disease becomes established. ARMURE
gives prolonged protection from re-infection, but a second application can be applied where crops are
at risk from later attacks.
Rates of Use
Apply ARMURE at 0.6 litre per hectare.
Two applications may be made per crop with a minimum interval of 21 days between applications.
Do not apply before BBCH 40 (crop cover complete: leaves cover 100% of ground).
Fodder beet treated with ARMURE must not be grazed by livestock or cut for fodder until at least 21
days after the last applicaton.
Avoid spraying/application within 5 metres of the field boundary to reduce effects on non-target insects
or other arthropods.
MIXING AND SPRAYING
Spray Volume
Apply ARMURE in a recommended 200 litres of water per hectare. Use a higher volume of water, 200300 litres per hectare for the treatment of dense crops to ensure a good penetration to the lower leaves
and stem bases.
Spray Nozzles
A medium quality spray* is preferred for application of ARMURE (* as defined by The British Crop
Protection Council). A spray pressure of 2 - 3 bar is recommended.
Mixing
Make sure the sprayer is clean and set to give an even application at the correct volume.
Fill the spray tank with half the required volume of clean water and start agitation. Add the required
amount of ARMURE and continue agitation whilst adding the rest of the water.
2
Agitate the mixture thoroughly before use and continue agitation during spraying and any stoppages.
Thoroughly wash all spray equipment with water immediately after use.
Do not leave the spray liquid in the sprayer for long periods (such as during meal breaks or overnight).
RESISTANCE MANAGEMENT
Both active ingredients in ARMURE are Sterol Biosynthesis Inhibitors (SBI). Use ARMURE as part
of an Integrated Crop Management (ICM) strategy incorporating other methods of control, including
where appropriate other fungicides with a different mode of action. You must not apply more than two
foliar applications of products containing Sterol Biosynthesis Inhibitors to any sugarbeet crop. Disease
control may be reduced if strains of pathogens less sensitive to ARMURE develop. Users should refer
to current FRAG-UK guidelines for SBI compounds.
COMPANY INFORMATION
The possible development of diseases resistant to ARMURE cannot be excluded or predicted. Where
such resistant strains occur, ARMURE may not give satisfactory control and no responsibility can be
accepted for any loss incurred.
This product is to be used only in accordance with the recommendations and instructions given
on the labels provided with this pack.
