E*Value E*Value is the leading web and smart phone based healthcare education management solution to help manage one's medical education program. It will help to enhance the patient log process, automate the evaluation process and reporting; improving academic oversight and coordination to ensure program quality and consistency. E*Value is accessible via the World Wide Web at www.e-value.net using your PC or mobile device (For more information please check video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V-bv-FBywn8) 1.1 Login to E*Value by performing the following steps: 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 1.2 Type https://www.e-value.net/ in the address bar of your internet browser The E*Value Healthcare Solutions page will appear Enter your Login Name Enter your Password Click Login System Requirements E*Value works with your existing web browser to provide access to all the modules that the Millennium program is using. The three most common commercial browsers used are Mozilla Firefox, Microsoft Internet Explorer and Google Chrome. E*Value Evaluation and Patient Log [PXDX] Student User Guide 3 II. MyProfile Manage your E*Value Login Name and Password, or program documents. (For more information please check video https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RS0D_b0NIlI ) 2.1 Password Change Only users who have an authorized login name and password can access the site. It is strongly recommended that you change your password the first time you enter E*Value and frequently thereafter using the Password Change tool described below. You may also change your login. 2.2 Password Requirements E*Value's default password requirements are as follows: 1. Passwords must be at least 6 characters in length, but no more than 12 characters. 2. Passwords must contain a combination of at least 2 of the following character types: lower-case letters, upper-case letters, numbers, and special characters. 3. Passwords are case sensitive. 2.3 Change Login and/or Password Begin by accessing the Password Change tool under the MyProfile module. The Password Change form will display: 2.4 1. Login: You may change your Login ID if desired. Enter the login name in the New Login and Confirm Login text boxes provided and select the Update Login button. E*Value will notify if that login is already in use, in which case you will need to choose a different login. 2. Password: It is recommended that you periodically update your password to prevent unauthorized access to your account. Enter the password in both the New Password and Confirm Password text boxes. Select the Update Password button. E*Value will inform you whether or not the change was successful. Retrieving AUC Documents in E*Value Follow the steps below to retrieve the E*Value PXDX User Guide: 1. 2. 3. 4. Patient Log (Log Diagnoses/Procedures) 3.1 Launching PXDX Case Logger (Patient Log) Perform following steps to launch the PXDX Case Logger 1. Click the PXDX icon located on the top menu 2. Click the PXDX icon located on the top menu Click the Review/Edit to view/edit any interaction Customize the view by selecting the desired options as needed Click Next to return the results To save a desired template for future use, prepopulate desired filters and Click Save as Template. You may search your log entries by any combination of sites, activities, procedures and/or diagnoses that occurred during the date range specified. Group filters may be used to narrow your field sections when available You may also filter by the role you played in the interaction for both procedures and diagnoses. 3 . You may specify the number of search results to be displayed per page 5 . 3.4 4 4 . Patient Log Review / Edit (Log result) The resulting table will display interactions that meet your criteria. The table will summarize the basic points of interactions logged. 1. 2. 3. Procedures and Diagnoses: Each procedure and/or diagnosis logged will display in the row beneath the interaction description. Using the filter, you may choose to display only procedures, only diagnoses or both. Role: Your role in the procedure or diagnosis is displayed here. Patient Log (Reports) 4.1 Installing Cute PDF Writer Student will be required to save patient logs (log report from E*Value) and submit it to the office of Registrar at the end of each rotation. Before generating report from E*Value, if you don’t have PDF converter installed on your PC, you can download CutePDF. CutePDF is a free version of the commercial PDF converter software. CutePDF Writer installs itself as a “printer subsystems”. This enables virtually any applications (must be able to print) to convert to professional quality PDF documents with just a push of button Please follow following instructions to install CutePDF 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. 7. 8. 9. Browse to http://cutepdf.com/Products/CutePDF/writer.asp and click on free download Click on Run or Save to download the CuteWriter.exe file (Select Allow for any warnings that may pop due to your browser's security settings). Select the location to save the CuteWriter.exe file Once download is complete click Run If any Windows security warnings pop up simply click on Run. The CutePDF Writer installation will begin. Click on Next to continue the install. Select “I accept the agreement” on the License Agreement screen and click Next. Once CutePDF Writer reaches the Ready to Install window, click on Install. An Installation progress bar will appear. Once the bar reaches 100% a CutePDF Writer. Setup window will E*Value Evaluation and Patient Log [PXDX] Student User Guide 10 open. This window will allow CutePDF Writer to download a small program that is vital for CutePDF Writer to function properly. Click YES 10. The CutePDF Writer setup program will download and install the required files. 11. The installation is now complete and CutePDF Writer has been installed as a printer on your Computer. 12. This is now ready to save any document and print as ‘PDF’. 4.2 Diagnosis Log Report – FOR SUBMISSION TO THE OFFICE OF THE REGISTRAR You are required to submit the Diagnosis Log report at the end of each rotation. Once you have completed a rotation and logged all patient logs, follow the steps below to generate a Diagnosis Log report, convert it or save as a PDF and email the complete report to the Office of the Registrar at [email protected]. Please note that you can enter and save logs from any mobile device but you will need a laptop, PC or Mac to print and save the logs in PDF (or Excel and save Excel into PDF) for submission. 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. If HTML is selected click Print option on the Top 7. Select CutePDF Writer (or other PDF writer if you have any already installed) and save file Note: To generate report you need to be logged in to E*Value using PC or Mac. Count Report The Diagnosis/Procedure Count report will display a raw count of the diagnoses/procedures completed based on the filter criteria selected. 2. Crosstab Report The Diagnosis/Procedure Crosstab report can be used to review the progress trainees have made toward completing the required diagnoses/procedures. Specifically, you can review the number of diagnoses/procedures completed or the number of diagnoses/procedures remaining for each requirement. The report can be generated for individual diagnoses/procedure requirements or group diagnoses/procedure requirements. When reviewing completed entries, you can jump directly to a Log report for each requirement. Results are displayed in a crosstab table with the number of required diagnoses/procedures displaying at the top of the tab. Additionally, you can filter the reports by: Site, Rotation and/or diagnosis/procedure logged. There are several options available for including or excluding entries based on confirmation status. 3. Download Report The Diagnosis/Procedure Download tool allows you to report on ALL diagnoses/procedures logged including: All standard fields that your program has chosen to track Any custom fields that your program has created for PXDX Procedure minimum and competency requirements 4. Summary Report The Diagnosis/Procedure Summary report can be used to view individual progress for diagnosis/procedure requirements. You will be able to drill down to see all of the details logged for diagnoses/procedures included in this report. E*Value Evaluation and Patient Log [PXDX] Student User Guide 13 V. Evaluations Click the Evaluations tab to complete evaluations assigned to you, generate an un-scheduled (On-the-fly) evaluations, print forms and view performance and compliance reports. Student will get an email with link to the evaluation. You can click the link in the email to complete the evaluation or log in to E*value and follow following steps Click Evaluations >Evaluations To Be Completed >Click Edit Evaluation Turn on auto scrolling to automatically jump to the next question after entering an answer If question is labeled Mandatory then it must be answered before you can submit the evaluation You may save a partially complete evaluation for later. The saved evaluation will remain in the queue until you click Submit. Click the Submit button once you have completed the evaluation 1 . DO NOT SUSPEND – this should only be selected if an evaluation is incorrectly assigned to you. This will notify an administrator that you have suspended an evaluation. The saved evaluation will be available from your pending list E*Value Evaluation and Patient Log [PXDX] Student User Guide Click to submit button to complete the valuation 5 . 15 5.2 To Complete ‘On-the-Fly’ Evaluations – FOR FAMILY MEDICINE ELECTIVES AND OTHER ELECTIVES The Mid Clerkship Self-Assessment Form – Elective and Clinical Clerkship Evaluation Form – Elective are to be completed and submitted at the end of each rotation. 1. Click Evaluations > On-the-Fly 2. Select an evaluation type: Select respective evaluation 3. Who would you like to evaluate?: For Mid-Clerkship Self-Assessment, select your name; For Clinical Clerkship Evaluation Form, leave as Not Applicable 4. Rotation: Select ELECTIVE_Family Medicine OR ELECTIVE_Other 5. Site: Select ELECTIVE_Family Medicine Site OR ELECTIVE_Other_Site 6. Time Frame: Select the rotation start and end dates 7. Click Next to complete and submit the evaluation. You will receive a notice that the evaluation was completed successfully. 1 . 2 3 . . 4 5 . . 6 . 7 . 5.3 Trainee Reports Trainee/Student will use this report to review the comments / feedback provided by Clinical Fellows on MidClerkship Self-Assessment Evaluation form. Student will complete the mid-clerkship self-assessment form. Once it’s submitted, clinical fellow will receive a notification. Clinical fellows will add comments / feedback to it. Student can log in E*value and read the comments/feedback. Please follow following steps 1. 2. 3. 4.
