What were they hoping to accomplish? 3. Speed Dating Profile (Headstone) – Based on your research, create a tombstone instead of a typical name tag for your speed dating event. Please be as creative as you want to be. Use the templates, construction paper, and markers at the front of the room. Speed Dating – On Tuesday, we will “speed date” through the reformers, meeting people who may or may not think like your reformer. You will fill out a chart as you “date,” which will be turned in for a separate grade. Your goal is to find a “match,” someone you can relate to/allies who have the same political, social, and economic interests or ideals. Each date will last 3-4 minutes, meaning that each person has approximately 2 minutes to share their information. 5. Bonus Points – Bonus points will be given for students who go above and beyond the expectations set for this activity. Appropriate clothing, props, etc. will earn extra points.
