Meet our Curriculum Coordinator! Eileen Kielty’s Personal Testimony: “As a professional dancer, fitness instructor and lover of ice cream, I have experienced firsthand just how lifechanging the Harrison AntiGravity® Hammock can be. I was first introduced to AntiGravity® techniques by my amazing friend, AntiGravity® Master Instructor Lorianne Major. I had been taking classes off and on for about a year when I got into a car accident in August 2014. Being rearended at 40mph while I was parked resulted in vertebral herniations, bulging discs, bursitis, a pinched sciatic nerve and temporary nerve damage down the left side of my body. It was the Harrison Hammock that alleviated my pain and allowed me to start to reconnect to my body AND mind again. Being given the permission to monitor my own resistance also empowered me to remain patient with my recovery and stay present in my goals; both large and small. A little over a year later, I am tugging and flipping and frontbelting and laughing a lot; stronger in countless ways. In addition to AntiGravity®, I was the teaching assistant at Radio City for the Rockettes’ educational programs for five years. Working directly with the Rockettes, the educational Directors and students ranging from ages 6 to adult. From one hour classes to weeklong intensives, my responsibilities included everything from demonstrating choreography, to checking people in and running music, to managing auditions and branding on the road to swinging (performing last minute) Summer Intensive shows when students couldn’t perform. The fusion of Arts Administration, Curriculum, Performance, Assisting, Brand Management, and being a Motivator of Tweens was a wonderful range of skillbuilding I will forever be grateful for. Although becoming a Rockette wasn’t in the cards for me, my performance experience ranges from ContemporaryModern to Latin, to African, to Musical Theater; performing my own and others work in both Boston and NYC. I am a founder of SPUNKandCOmpany Dance in Boston, MA and the Dance Coordinator for the Boston College Arts Festival where I work with over 300 college dancers. Currently I am working on an original and collaborative show, “The Blue Jar”, that premiered at the Cherry Lane Theatre in NYC February 2015 and have joined a new Burlesqueinspired company, “Fox Force Five”. Needless to say, I get pumped about details and the creative process and LOVE combining skill sets while making an impact. My love of teaching and traveling as well as performing and being a part of something bigger than myself has all been beautifully combined into my various roles at AntiGravity®. I am beyond excited to continue to learn and grow within this company and I am available for an electronic high five, a question or just a hello via
