FROM THE DESK OF DEACON RICHARD & STEWARDSHIP COMMITTEE
ARLINGTON STREET
GATE
The gate on Arlington Street will
be closed daily around 4 pm. The
reason for this is that the parking
area is being trashed by people
that walk through the parking area
from one bar to the other. The
children attending school here are
finding items that they take to the
people in the school yard with
them for an explanation. This
does not mean that you can park
in front of the closed gate it will
have to remain clear so emergency vehicles can enter if necessary.
The back gate will remain unlocked so that groups and individuals that have business here at
the Cathedral have a place to
park.
I do hope that this resolves the
problem.
ON THE STEWARDSHIP
FRONT
We were pleased by the reception
the members of the parish had towards the envelopes that were handed out at mass on the 12th . The
committee will during the year let
everyone know how the parish is doing and what it is going to take to
meet the goal.
As often as we can you will find a
section with our stewardship prayer
and thought for the week in the bulletin.

My husband was waterskiing when he fell into
the river. As the boat circled to pick him up, he
noticed a hunter sitting in a duck boat in the
reeds. My husband put his hands in the air
and joked, “Don’t shoot!”
The hunter responded, “Don’t quack.”

STEWARDSHIP PRAYER
Heavenly Father, Thank you for this new day, and another opportunity to give the traditions of Lent genuine meaning in my life. Help me to be a good steward of this day; to use it wisely to reflect on my words
and deeds, review my habits, and correct my faults. Inspire me to live as Jesus did, to embrace his
cross, and live the great paschal mystery in a way that gives hope to others. Be merciful to me this day.
Forgive me my failings and weaknesses. Cultivate in me a humble and repentant heart. Prepare me for
the renewal of my baptismal vows, today and throughout the season of Lent; so that at Easter I may truly rejoice in Christ Jesus, who lives and reigns with you and the Holy Spirit, One God, forever and ever.
Amen.
FOURTH SUNDAY
OF
LENT
Saint Paul gives us a wakeup call. As stewards of the light of Christ, we are to reflect that light with the
help of the Holy Spirit. If Christ’s work has transformed and illuminated our lives, there should be a
change. The light of Christ’s active presence should be at work in us. And as the light shines within us,
we take on the properties of that light and we shine too. We are used by God to
shine the light of Christ in the lives of others.

ENTRADA
Mi salvador mi camino a seguir.
Hoy y siempre te amare a ti Señor.
Hoy y siempre te amare a ti Señor. (2)
SALMO
