Bacteria Presentation Project
Directions:
You and a partner(s) will select a bacterium to research and
present your findings to the class.
Your presentation can be in the following formats:
o Google Presentation, Prezi, Song, Skit, Rap, Video,
Some other format approved by Mr. Woolworth
You and your partner need to include at least 4 sources
If you choose a bacterial disease:
You presentation needs to include the following information:
o Common and Scientific name
o Structure and Growth Information
 How quickly do you get sick? AND/OR How
quickly does it reproduce?
 What does it look like? Include picture(s)!
o Tie to the BIG IDEA: How does the body respond to this
disruption in homeostasis?
 How do you get the disease? (ingest it, sex,
skin contact, etc.)
 What are the symptoms of the disease?
 Treatments? How do you “cure” the disease?
 Mortality Rate: How many people die from this
disease?
 How do you prevent getting the disease?
o Where is the disease found globally?
 Include a map
o Any other interesting facts about the disease
o A question for your audience to think about that
relates to the disease

 Lytic or lysogenic life cycle? EXPLAIN what this
means about the life and infection rate of this
virus.
 What does it look like? Include a picture
o Tie to the BIG IDEA: How does the body respond to this
disruption in homeostasis?
 How do you get the disease? (ingest it, sex,
skin contact, etc.)
 What are the symptoms of the disease?
 Treatments? How do you “cure” the disease?
 Mortality Rate: How many people die from this
disease?

o Where is the disease found globally?

o DO NOT COPY AND PASTE INFORMATION FROM
WEBSITES INTO YOUR PRESENTATION.

o Must cite your sources at the end of your presentation
using hyperlinks
 The teacher should be able to click on it and go
to your source
