HOW YOU CAN HELP:
1.
2.
Visit the Library and find a book about the Nativity. Talk to your child about the Christmas Story.
Dress in warm winter clothing and go on a Winter Walk. During your walk encourage your child to look for signs of
winter.
3. Encourage your child to mark make by writing a letter to Santa. Encourage your child to tell you about what they have
written and record what they are saying at the bottom of their letter. Alternatively encourage your child to develop
their fine motor skills by cutting pictures from toy catalogues and sticking them on a piece of paper to show Santa
what they would like for Christmas.
4. App of the month: Doodle Buddy. This is a great app to explore mark making.
Children have experienced using this app in school this month to draw a
picture of their friend.
