Dear Students, I am so excited to have you in my class

Dear Students,
I am so excited to have you in my class this year! My name is Miss
Christine. Miss Diane is our classroom assistant and she will be helping us with
all of our fun classroom activities. I hope you are having a fun summer,
swimming and playing outside! Soon it will be time to come to school and I
can’t wait to see you! I wanted to write you this letter to tell you all about
your new fun classroom!
Our classroom name is the Busy Bears and we are in classroom 6. We
have a red fish as our class pet, his name is Cooper Bubbles. We are going to
have so much fun together this year learning and making new friends. I have
many fun and exciting things planned for us this year such as a field trip to The
Rainforest Room at Sweetbriar Nature Center and to Sunken Meadow Beach!
We are also going to be making many different crafts and projects using
markers, crayons, glue and scissors. We will be doing a lot of dancing in Dance
and Movement with Miss Kerry, learning how to use computers with Miss
Nancy and learning to speak Spanish with Miss Jimena. We will also be doing
many different science experiments and cooking together!
We also have many fun and silly days planned for you. I hope you like to
get dressed up because this year we will be dressing up like farmers, the Cat in
the Hat, cowboys and cowgirls, princesses and pirates and so much more! We
will also have a few special pajama days!
You will get to meet and make many new friends this year! Especially in
the spring when we get butterflies and ladybugs for our classroom!
I cannot wait to meet you at Meet the Teacher! I am so excited! Until
then, enjoy the rest of the summer!
See you soon!
Miss Christine and Miss Diane
Dear Parents,
Welcome back to school! My name is Miss Christine and I will be your
child’s Pre-K teacher for the upcoming school year! Miss Diane will be our
classroom assistant; helping us with all of our activities! Our classroom name is
the Busy Bears and we are in classroom 6. I am extremely excited to meet you
and your child! This upcoming year is going to be filled with lots of learning
and making new friends!
Throughout this year we will be learning how to identify and write each
child’s first and last name, the alphabet and numbers 1 through 20. Each week
we will learn a new letter and number, which will also be reinforced through
homework that is sent home once a week. In January we will begin introducing
weekly sight words that will prepare each child for reading. We will achieve all
of these goals through hands on activities, science projects, art projects,
cooking, and other fun filled activities.
Each week we will have Show –N- Tell. Each child will be assigned a day
of the week to bring in their item. Please help your child choose a Show –NTell item that relates to the theme of the week, letter, number, or something
special to them. On the first day of school please send your child in with a
special item that they can share with the class. This item can be from something
your child did over the summer or something that is very special to them.
I look forward to meeting everyone at orientation. If you have any
questions or concerns please feel free contact me either through e-mail at
[email protected] or by calling the office at B.E.S.T. 631-864-4064.
Enjoy the rest of your summer!
Sincerely,
Miss Christine
