This year’s NON-PROFIT U.S. POSTAGE The Roycroft Conference October 17& 18, 2015 tion. We will be exploring how individuals, cultural sites and whole regions can study and learn from their historic past, evaluate their present and prepare for their future. This year we are branching out from our usual Arts & Crafts focus to explore the restoration of a variety of architectural sites. Presentations will be given from various historical landmarks designed by such noted architects as Louise Bethune (the first professional female architect in America), H. H. Richardson and Frank Lloyd Wright. We will also study the preservation work of specific objects: windows, furniture, mosaics and stained glass. Our Roycroft presentations will explore historical themes that are not as widely known; the Photopictorialists of the Campus and the Roycrofters time in the American West. Finally, we will examine the resurgence of the Western New York region and the idea of community-focused restoration. 31 South Grove Street East Aurora, NY 14052 N 2015 The Roycroft Conference Register Now!
