 90-­‐Day Marketing Plan You’re the boss! Take charge of your business with a 90-­‐day Plan. The ideas below are a starting point. Add your own and watch your business take off! Month 1 Give Your Speech! Learn your “elevator” speech so you can quickly describe Jane to people who are unfamiliar with ride-­‐hail. E.g., “I’m a driver for See Jane Go. It’s like Uber or Lyft, but it’s a “women driving women” service. So many women feel safer when they know they’ll get a female driver every time.” Feel free to put this in your own words in a way that feels comfortable. Practice it so you can say it easily and naturally. Get Social. Post a photo of yourself with your Jane shirt, by your car (with the Jane emblem) on Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, or Linked in and let your friends know you are working for Jane. Ask them to contact you for more information. If you don’t’ have social media accounts, set them up – it’s the quickest, no-­‐cost way to let people know what you’re doing. Add your unique driver ID in the post and tag See Jane Go in your post. (To “tag” See Jane Go in your post, type the “@” symbol, then start typing SeeJaneGo. As you type, you will see options pop up below your typing of sites that start with See Jane. When the correct symbol pops up (see arrow below), tap on it, and it will “tag” See Jane Go in your post. Turn every email you send out into a sales tool. Underneath your name, put a link to the apps (see below) so people can download it. Also, include your driver number. Send the same photo to your email list of friends, family and contacts – let them know what you’re doing and ask them to share the email with anyone who might need your services. The people you know can be your best marketers, but they need to know what to say. Share your elevator speech with them! Be sweet and transparent. Hershey’s Kisses wrapped in a cellophane bag, with a postcard and ribbon goes a long way in getting people excited about contacting you again and sharing the news with others. Be creative and make some fun goodie bags. Even the guys will enjoy giving them to the ladies in their lives. Recruit Uber and Lyft passengers. Give See Jane Go postcards to your passengers from Uber/Lyft and ask them to hail a Jane and get a female driver every time. Send hand-­‐written notes to your friends, family and contacts about your role as a driver. So few people write notes, that you’ll get noticed. Include some business cards in your notecard so they can share with others. “App” the Question. Ask everyone you know if they have the SJG app downloaded on their phone. Once it’s on their phone they’re more likely to use it. Get warm leads. Your current customers already think you’re great. Join the Jane Driver Facebook page to stay in touch, come up with other creative ideas and exchange information. Create great passenger experiences. Whether it’s a kind word, a freebie (pack of gum, hand wipe or something small) or being extra helpful. Give your passengers an experience they’ll want to share with their friends. If you’re having a bad day, don’t let it show. You might be the only bright spot in THEIR day, so know that you are having a positive impact on someone’s life with every drive. Thank them for their business when they leave the car and say “hope to see you again!” Turn in on. Turn your app on when you are in a high traffic area – a mall, a restaurant district, a concert. Be a “Back Seat” Driver. Sit in the back seat of your car and see what your passenger will see. What opportunities are you using to ask them to come back soon? Put your business cards in a visible and easily accessible place with a “take one” sign near them. Make sure you have some great Jane “swag” in the back of the car, along with fliers, postcards and other marketing materials. Chairman of the Board. Have a clipboard in the back seat with a place for people to give information on referrals. Names, emails, numbers or whatever they’re comfortable giving. Hang Out. Hang the SJG fliers with the tear tabs on the bottom in any public bulletin board – apartment buildings, supermarkets, colleges, etc. Make sure your driver code is on the flier to you can get credit for the referrals. Deliver! Bring SJG postcards to your doctor’s office, gym, salon, mechanic’s, dentist, dermatologist, or any other office and ask if you can leave a stack at their front desk. Be sure to go back regularly to restock. Network. Join your local Chamber of Commerce and attend their meetings. Let everyone know what you do and share your fliers, business cards and postcards. Wear your Jane T-­‐shirt in public, to the supermarket, gym or anywhere else it can serve as a conversation piece.
