Students?start by? learning?that architectural design ?includes?the transformation and?planning of?the built and natural environment. Thus ?discovery of the? act of building is intimately linked to the understanding?of? a territory and?it''s? uses. Architecture remains the art of construction in a changing environment. City Today the world population lives mostly in cities. The city has become a runaway entity constantly?producing?new issues and contradictions. Understanding the city is studying all angles: productive force, consumer goods, place of memory, mixing space and partitioning, urban form, public space... Territories The territory is not only a geographic area: it is also the product of political, social, cultural and legal elements who shaped it. The study of architecture primarily concerns the study of the environment in which it will settle and it will transform. Structure of the Curriculum This initial training may be supplemented by an entitlement to pursue project management in its own name (HMONP-1 year), a degree of specialization and deepening of Architecture (DSA-18 months), a Ph.D. in Architecture (D-3 years), or any other degree undergraduate or graduate in related fields of architecture (and master professional licenses, research marsters, etc.). The lessons are structured and validated by half. The courses are in French. 1st cycle (Bachelor) 3 years Dipl?me d''?tudes en architecture (DEEA) (180 ECTS) This 3year programme leads to the equivalent of a Bachelor''s degree in architecture, le?license Research Programme ?and allows access to the second cycle of study. 2nd cycle (Master) 2 years Dipl?me d''Etat d''architecte (DEA) (120 ECTS) This 2yr programme leads to the degree of state architect.
