Have You Seen Our New Website?
Since St. Paul’s website was relaunched during the All-Church Meeting on January 29, it has
been suggested a small website committee be established. The committee would meet
monthly, plan updates to the website, and keep it current. Kit Oase, who has been at the helm
of this effort, will serve as the committee’s chairperson. Please contact Kit
[[email protected]] if you are interested in volunteering to join the committee
Preschool Registration
Early Registration for the 2017/2018 School Year will be
open to the St. Paul’s congregation on Tuesday, February
21st from 5:30 - 7:00 PM in the Preschool Office.
Holy Roamers February Outing
Instead of an outing to see the Sandhill Cranes, we will have a Post Valentine's Luncheon for our
February outing. Reservations have been made at the Strings Restaurant on North Main Street for
Sunday, February 26th after church commencing about 11:45 am. We will be able to order anything
on their menu and will be in the banquet room. Please RSVP to Leon Sucht (email:
[email protected]) by Thursday, February 23rd.
Reconciling/Inclusive Congregation Journey
Discussions about St. Paul's spiritual journey, exploring what a reconciling/inclusive congregation
means, often take place in our monthly Discipleship Committee meetings. Chair Andrew Price asks
us to open each meeting by sharing the following prayer aloud together. It's a prayer that gives voice
to our questions, concerns, beliefs and struggles as we live in our world today with all its difficulties
and complexities. This prayer is shared here with hope you will find it meaningful, as well.
God of love, source of mercy and compassion, weave your dream for the world into the fabric of our
lives. Remove the scales from our eyes and lift the indifference from our hearts, so that we may see
your vision. Transform our lives, so that we may accomplish your purpose. Help us to reach out to
those whom no one else will touch, to accept the unacceptable, and to embrace the enemy. Surround
us with your love, fill us with your grace, and strengthen us for your service. Empower us to respond
to the call of Jesus - to deny ourselves, to take up our crosses and to follow. Make us your disciples.
Amen.

Laughing Jesus
Life is short. Grudges are a waste of your happiness. Laugh when you can,
apologize when you should and let go of things you can’t change. Love deeply
and forgive quickly. Take chances. Give everything and have no regrets. Life's
too short to be unhappy.
My bounty is as boundless as the sea, my love as deep; the more I give to thee,
The more I have, for both are infinite. - William Shakespeare, Romeo and Juliet
Did you know - Over 50 percent of all Valentine’s Day cards are purchased in
the six days prior to the observance, making Valentine’s Day a procrastinator’s
delight. (Source: Hallmark research). So, if you haven’t done so, you can join
others and still get it done.
