About Us: The Lady Vikings finished last year 22-5,
with an appearance in Ohio’s Division I Elite Eight.
They were also Federal League Champions. The
Lady Vikes return four starters and have worked hard
in the off-season to improve their overall game. They
will be led by six seniors, including Kaylee Stroemple,
Kelsey Lensman, Kaitlyn Runner, Julie Worley,
Marquia Turner and Katie Eriksen. Kaylee Stroemple
and Julie Worley both contribute a strong presence on
the inside. Kelsey Lensman, a great outside shooter,
will continue to lead from the guard position, while
Kaitlyn Runner will continue to lead us defensively.
Marquia Turner will add another strong outside
presence this year. In addition, underclassmen Allie
Farina, Adrienne Sarbaugh, Lexi Manos, Tiffany
Bentler and Maddie Blyer will add to the line-up.
Senior Julie Worley finished last year Honorable
Mention All-State and senior Marquia Turner finished
3rd Team All-State. Julie, Marquia and their
teammate Kaylee Stroemple finished 1st Team All
County, Federal League, and District IV. Senior
Kelsey Lensman also finished the season 2nd Team
Stark County and 2nd Team Federal League. Three
girls plan to attend college to play basketball next
year: Kaylee Stroemple (Niagra University), Julie
Worley (Ashland University), and Marquia Turner
(Xavier University). We expect to be competitive in
our league and aim to continue working hard as the
season progresses.
