U. S. Constitution Challenge Examination
Administered by University Libraries
This exam option is intended for California teaching credential candidates who must fulfill the
U.S. Constitution requirement. The U.S. Constitution Challenge Examination will be
administered online through Azusa Pacific University using the Sakai website. Candidates will
have a window of 7 days to log on, review the material, and take the exam. The exam must be
completed within one hour. Once the candidate starts the exam, the clock will count down;
after sixty minutes the student will be locked out.
Registration Steps:
1. Complete and mail the US Constitution Challenge Exam Registration Form as directed
2. Pay the $100 exam fee.
3. Candidates who receive a score of 79% or less may remediate the course at no additional
charge by using the Challenge Essay option. The Challenge Essay and directions can be
found under the Assignment tab. Students will have an additional 7 days to complete the
Challenge Essay.
