The Plomarion, Mytilene, Greece native was the former owner of Coney Island Restaurant and Andris Realty Co, He was a past president of Greek Community and St. Paul's Greek Orthodox Church. He was chosen as honorary lifetime alumnus of Hellenic College in 1974 and received the Archdiocesan Laity Award of the Greek Orthodox Church of North and South America in 1982. He was elected president several times of Local Solon Chapter 5 of the National Order of AHEPA. He led as president of that organization the local Greek war relief effort of food and clothing drives during World War II. Also during this time, the U.S. Treasury Department designated the Order of AHEPA as the first and only organization of its type to be an official issuing agency in the sale of war bonds Series E, and Mr. Andris, as president, led the local effort in exceeding its goal towards the $50 million national campaign. He received the AHEPA of the Year Award in 1970. Surviving are his wife, Mrs. Athena T Andris; a son, Stavros G.
