Fitness Center Member Policies and Rules
MEMBERSHIP POLICIES & FITNESS CENTER RULES
Bermuda Dunes Country Club designed the Membership Policies and the Club Rules,
including rules listed here and rules posted in the Fitness Center to ensure a safer and
more enjoyable environment in which to exercise. So, please be thoughtful and observe
the Policies and Rules that you, and all members, have agreed to follow. Bermuda
Dunes Country Club may, in its sole discretion, modify the Policies and Rules without
notice at any time. It's your responsibility to know and follow the most current Policies
and Rules. All approved signs posted in the Fitness Center shall be considered a part of
the Policies and Rules of Bermuda Dunes Country Club.
GUEST POLICY
Members are allowed to bring guests to work out with a Member in the Fitness Center.
The conduct, behavior and charges of guests are the responsibility of the Member host.
Members are responsible for advising their guests of club rules. A Social Member may
not have the same guest in the Men’s or Ladies’ locker rooms more than ten (10) times
during the November 1st to May 31st time period.
USE OF BERMUDA DUNES COUNTRY CLUB FITNESS CENTER
Availability of Facilities: Bermuda Dunes Country Club Fitness Center or services,
including but not limited to, classes, equipment, may have limited hours, be
discontinued altogether at any time, or be offered on a “first come first serve” basis. Use
of Bermuda Dunes Country Club facilities or services are authorized and limited
pursuant to your membership agreement.
Conflicts Regarding Use: Please don't linger on the equipment because other
members may want to use it. No member should monopolize the equipment or weights.
If there is a sign-up list for the use of the equipment and a maximum time limit on its use
then the directions for the use of the sign-up list are part of the Fitness Center rules and
Bermuda Dunes Country Club expects all the members to follow them. In short, observe
gym etiquette. If there is a conflict over use, let Bermuda Dunes Country Club
management resolve it.
Weights & Other Equipment: There are specific rules posted regarding the use of the
weights and other equipment in Bermuda Dunes Country Club Fitness Center. As a
courtesy, please replace the weights on the rack after you use them and wipe off all
equipment after use.
No Solicitation: Bermuda Dunes Country Club Fitness Center is provided for the
private use of club members only and is not open to the public.
GENERAL POLICIES FOR MINORS
You and your minor children must follow any such rules or policies.

Minors Under 14: May not use Bermuda Dunes Country Club Fitness facility at any
time and must be accompanied by a parent or guardian at all times when in the
facilities.
Minors 14 - 15: May use Bermuda Dunes Country Club facility while being
accompanied by a parent or guardian if the minor is a member, their parent or guardian
signed the membership agreement and the minor has completed an orientation on
proper use of equipment.
Minors 16 - 17: May use Bermuda Dunes Country Club facility without being
accompanied by a parent or guardian if the minor is a member and their parent or
guardian signed the membership agreement. It is required that minors age 16-17
complete equipment orientation.
CUBBIES
Bermuda Dunes Country Club provides cubby space for your use on a daily basis. Do
not leave any valuable property in a cubby at any time. Bermuda Dunes Country Club is
not responsible for any theft of or damage to your property. Lockers are available upon
request for rental. Locker maybe rented for a fee of $50.00 annually.
PROHIBITED ITEMS AND ACTIVITIES
No Alcohol, Drugs, or Smoking: You cannot engage in any activity at Bermuda Dunes
Country Club Fitness Center while under the influence of illegal drugs or alcohol.
Bermuda Dunes Country Club does not permit smoking, alcohol, or illegal drugs,
including steroids, in the Fitness Center.
No Photographic or Video Equipment: No photography, videotaping, filming or audio
recording in Bermuda Dunes Country Club Fitness Center without prior written
permission of the management.
Food & Beverages: Bermuda Dunes Country Club reserves the right to limit the
consumption of food or beverages to designated areas of the Fitness Center. No
outside food or beverages are allowed in Bermuda Dunes Country Club Fitness
Center. Water is permitted.

DRESS / TOWEL POLICY
Bermuda Dunes Country Club requires you to wear appropriate clothing and footwear
while in its facilities. Here are general guidelines:






Please wear workout attire appropriate for a family-oriented club
Proper workout attire is athletic clothing and shoes specifically designed for
fitness:
o Men: T-shirts, gym shorts, warm-up pants, socks and sneakers
o Women: Yoga pants/capris, warm-up suits, T-shirts, athletic tank tops,
appropriate shorts, socks and sneakers
o Not allowed: Sports bra only (must be appropriately covered), street
clothes, denim blue jeans, flip-flops or sandals, cutoffs, clothing containing
metal of any kind
Shirts and shoes must be worn at all times. Shoe exceptions will be made for
Yoga or fitness classes when appropriate.
Closed-toe shoes are required for your safety while in the exercise area
No golf shoes with hard spikes
Cut-off shorts and cut-off shirts are not appropriate
You must have a towel with you during workouts to protect and clean the machines you
use. Towel service will be provided at the Fitness Center.
CONDUCT
While in Bermuda Dunes Country Club facilities, Bermuda Dunes Country Club does
not permit and will not tolerate any inappropriate conduct. Such conduct includes,
without limitation, using loud, abusive, offensive, insulting, demeaning language,
profanity, lewd conduct or any conduct that harasses or is bothersome to members or
Bermuda Dunes Country Club employees.
VIOLATION OF POLICIES OR RULES
If any member or guest violates any of the Policies or Rules, Bermuda Dunes Country
Club will ask that person to stop or leave. A member’s violation of any of the Policies or
Rules may also cause Bermuda Dunes Country Club, at its sole discretion, to terminate
that person’s Fitness Center Privileges and/or other agreements.
