With the release of the June 2015 Cambridge International Examinations A-Level Results on
11 August 2015, Institut Sinaran’s students once again proved that they can do well on home
ground. Many students were spotted with jubilant and smiling faces as they celebrated the
strings of As they obtained.
Forty-three (43) students achieved 2As and above and among these twenty-seven (27)
students scored straight A*s/As.
The top five achievers are Carmen Chung Ka Vun, Regina Goh Chin Lyn, Ryan Voo Jay
Leong, Tan Jun Kai Terry and Nicole Chok Pei Ying who all obtained 4A*s each. Ryan Voo
has been offered a place to study Engineering at Cambridge University, United Kingdom.
They are followed by five 3A*s&1A achievers, who are Alyssandra Danielle Teh, Chong Jia
Cheng, Chung Jia Yue, Kallpana a/p Ghandi Dhas and Peck Shin Yin.
Ten other students who obtained a combination of 4A*s/As are Elean Tay See Vun, Ho Shu
Ming, Joleen Yong, Ruth Ranita Ponniah, Karen Teo Tze Hui, Leung Yen San, Ong Jenn
Hong, Perle Alexis Lo, Honovi Ho Yee Yie and Hui Jun Chuen.
Thirteen more students obtained 3A*s/As. They are Hector Lo Wen Jun, Tan Chong Hung,
Bryan Chong Kah Seng, Abraham Moh Xen-Lee, Benitta Benjamin, Christine Chueng Wai
Ching, Anderson Yong Zae Szen, Ho Jeong Han, Laura Soon Cheau Ling, Rhiana Mae
Storey, Shirley Wong Yee Teng, Chin Jia Yu and Andrew Wong Vui Zhen.
Institut Sinaran’s June 2015 A-Level results have shown excellent passing rates in many
subjects, as follows:
For Science stream:
100% for Physics, 100% for Law, 98% for Biology, 97% for Mathematics and 94% for
Chemistry.
For Commerce stream:
95% for Accounting, 92% for Economics, 83% for Mathematics, 72% for Business Studies
and 58% for Law.
Furthermore, 97% of the Science students and 75% of the Commerce students passed two or
more subjects to qualify for university admission.
The excellent results are the fruit of hard work and determination shown by the students
coupled with the dedication and commitment of the teaching staff. The pleasant and peaceful
campus ground with well-equipped facilities provides a conducive learning environment.
The Cambridge International Examination A-Level conducted at Institut Sinaran is
internationally recognized for entrance into undergraduate courses such as medicine,
engineering, law and accounting, etc. Since its commencement, Sinaran students have
continued their studies in the most prestigious universities around the world; namely the
Russell Group in UK like Cambridge, Oxford, Imperial and London, the Group of Eight in
Australia like Australia National University, Melbourne, New South Wales and Queensland,
National University of Singapore, University of Hong Kong, University of Otago, New
Zealand, National Taiwan University and etc.
Institut Sinaran also conducts 2 other Pre-U programmes which is the Diploma in Commerce
and Taylor’s Foundation in Science. They provide an excellent stepping stone into a wide
range of degree programmes offered locally and internationally.
