Hello from…
Australia
Australia is an island continent, the 6th
largest country by area. Its major cities are
Canberra (capital), Sydney, and Melbourne.
It is home to unique animals like
Kangaroos, Koalas, and Wombats.
I am Australian because
my dad is from Australia.
The pink slug is one of
the animals in Australia.
It is threatened by
climate change. They are
very cute.

Pink Slugs
by Alex Azriel, 3d grade, room 15
I’m so lucky to
be Australian so
that I can go
and look at pink
slugs and all the
other cool
animals there.
-3Pink slugs are nocturnal. They glide from
their homes during the night to feed on
plants. They eat mold, moss, and algae.
They can grow up to 8 inches. Most people
like bugs that are cute and cuddly, but
slugs have important roles to fill. By
eating plants and adding nutrients to the
soil, they are basically nature’s recyclers.

At China I had a great time with my family and relatives. I have plenty of
relatives that I didn't know about. Most of the time I would play video games or
watch TV when my relatives were sleeping at noon. For lunch I enjoyed eating
the food my cousin made. At night, for some days, I would go out shopping with
my aunt, mom, cousin, brother and other relatives.
For about two days I would go with family on mini vacations. I did this twice last
summer. For the first time we went to a nice, quiet, beautiful place two hours
away from my cousin's house. It was very peaceful over there and there was a
lot of fish at a pond. The second mini vacation I went to a small village to fish
with my uncle and grand parents. My uncle didn't catch any big fish so we just
bought two.
The trip to China is a very fun. I don't like where you have to sit on the airplane
for 16 hours, but I do like the airports and airplanes. To get to China my family
usually rides on a 747 or a 777 plane from Air China. We travel from SFO to
Beijing capital international airport to Chongqing Jiangbei international airport.

Hallo van…
Netherlands
Dear teacher,
I'm writing you, to tell you
that I'm not coming anymore.
Why?
I know what I want to be:
a HERO
What I have to learn is:
Flying without a flying machine
Fighting with wild animals
Balancing on a wobbly rope
You don't teach that.
Therefor going to school doesn't make
much sense to me
As a teacher, you did a great job
So: A kiss and thanks a lot!
Should anything ever happen to you,
just give a call
and I'll be there in no time at all.
