Sally Moore 561-215-8732 Vocation Chalice As you know the church is sorely in need of men who commit themselves to the vocation of the priesthood. We are often asked to pray for that intention so that men will heed the inner call to become a priest. St. Mark Prayer Warrior Ministry When we need prayers, we usually reach out to people we know. What a blessing we have here at St. Mark Parish to be able to reach out to a whole Community when we are in need! The Prayer Warriors are here to pray daily for all of us. To have a prayer offered up, simply get in touch with the Prayer Warriors by sending an email to the address below. Only first names are used, and your email is kept private. The answer to your prayers may very well be the St. Mark Prayer Warriors who are committed to praying for all those who simply ask! Also, let Barbara know if you yourself would like to be a part of this ministry serving as a warrior and praying for others. ~Barbara Schenk [email protected] Here at St. Mark Parish, we have the Vocation Chalice. The chalice remains in one household for a week and the family is asked to pray for Vocations. Many people are needed for this; as you know, there are 52 weeks in a year. Please consider this prayerful service, which is done in the privacy of your own home for just one week. 4 Contact Joe Schenk for more information to sign up to have the Chalice in your home for a week: 561- 364-0312. FYI: 2nd Sunday of Easter/Divine Mercy Sunday – April 23, 2017 Recently, a Parishioner suggested that I put together a Pastor’s Wish List. So here it is: 1. I wish that all Parishioners of St. Mark Parish will inherit heaven. 2. I wish that all who have a hardness of heart may be converted to the love of God. 3. I wish that we meet and surpass our DSA Goal for 2017. 4. I wish to insert into the Main altar, the Blessed Sacrament Chapel Altar and the Friary Chapel Altar, the Altar Stones from the original Church. 5. I wish I could paint the inside of the Church in time for the 65th anniversary of the founding of the Parish which takes place in December 2017. 6. I wish to finally install a Memorial Book in the narthex commemorating all those who contributed to the Church’s enlargement in 2005. 7. I wish I could enlarge, redirect and illumine the cross above the Church so all in our area could see it. 8. I wish I could move the flag pole and the Church sign closer to Federal Hwy so it could be better seen. 9. I wish I could install a statue of Our Lady and St. John on either side of the Main Crucifix in Church. 10. I wish to reconfigure the library into a spiritual library and locate it on the first floor of the Parish Center. 11. I wish I could add a small religious goods store on the property. 12. I wish to install security cameras in the narthex, Blessed Sacrament Chapel, back sacristy and back entrances to discourage vandalism and damage to the Church and sacred objects. 13. I wish the Parish could afford new electronic candles in the narthex. 14. I wish the Parish could afford to spruce up the landscaping on the property. 15. I wish I could order some new altar clothes for the Church, chapel and friary chapel. 16. I wish the Parish could afford to renovate the friary kitchen and install an exercise pool in the yard to help Frs. Germain and Sam. I wish all of you peace and God’s grace Brothers and sisters, while we have time, let us do good. Fr. Dan Tuesday April 25th The Solemnity of St. Mark Mass at 11:00 AM Light Refreshments after Mass There will be no 8:00am or 5:00pm Mass that day.
