This Saturday, Adirondack faces off
against Saquoit for their first league
game of the season.
"Last year, they were a real tough
team," Martin said. "And they have all
their stars coming back.
"They're small and fast, while we're
bigger and stronger than they are,"
And, because the league schedule is
just starting, the league crown is
obviously very much up for grabs.
"Our record's not that good," said
Martin, "But our shot at the league is
good.

Our Grass
Roots
By Dewey Johns
(Continued from Page 1)
There are six items on Tiis stated agenda, with the sixth
item being,, perhaps, the most exciting: "Try to
increase involvement and input from the Town of
Wilna residents.
Mr* Boutweli seems committed to a style of
leadership that offers an opportunity for all the people
in the town to get involved. "More young people
should get involved because it is, and will be their
town to shape. All input would be appreciated and
evaluated as to how best to proceed," explains Mr.
Boutweli. .
Lansing states that the choice, for the voters is
either to continue with the status quo with no plan to
stabilize business and to push for economic growth.
Or/join with him enhance the job climate.
, He hopes to~ try tq attract all possible state and
federal aid to assist local industries in maintaining
their profitability. , He will work to bring back the
Department of Motor Vehicles office fully operational
in the town. He plans to look for ways to establish an
industrial park or foreign trade zone in the town.
Lansing seems excited about the opportunity to
work with local town and village governments,
enhancing their cooperative efforts for the benefit of
all people.
Ultimately with the help of all residents, candidate
Boutweli, when he becomes Supervisor Boutweli, will
develop afive;t<*teri year plim to pjfepare for the future
