UNDERSTANDING SELF-CONTROL FAILURE The Forester Five is a College-wide initiative designed to help students receive a well-rounded education. It takes the form of activities, programs and events that help students develop the ability to think with purpose, engage in their community, embrace diversity, achieve their goals, and develop as leaders. By the time our students graduate, they will have had co-curricular experiences that instill these foundations in them. Students who participate fully in the Forester Five will, as the College’s mission statement says, be well prepared to “become citizens of the global community.” Each Forester Five foundation is grounded in the College’s mission statement. Look for the icons below throughout the Orientation schedule to illustrate a few examples of how these values are embedded in the co-curricular experience. Throughout the year, you’ll also see these icons on the posters for many campus events and programs. To learn more about the Forester Five, go to www.lakeforest.edu/foresterfive.
