Frequently Asked Questions Is this event open to the general public? No; only ALPCA members and their guests. How big is this thing? We expect around 200 collectors this year. The more the merrier! What about “license plate widows?” Anything for them to do? Absolutely yes. The Fabulous Las Vegas Strip and the Fremont Street Experience are an easy drive or bus ride away. For something other than casinos (yes it's true!), try the Mob Museum, the Neon Sign Museum, shopping and dining in quaint Boulder City, or a tour of Hoover Dam. Can I get around without a car? Transit is pretty easy; you can take the Henderson & Downtown Express (HDX) to the Fremont Street Experience, and from there the Strip & Downtown Express (SDX) bus to the Strip. The HDX bus also runs to Boulder City, but it doesn't go as far as the dam (which is another nine miles beyond Boulder City). So if you're going to the dam, you'll have to drive. Any other questions?
