Line 8, p. 4 - From the sentence starting 'Previously, national estimates...' through to 'pupils in year 1-7.' should be revised - there are incomplete sentences secondary to the amendments made by the authors. Response: The sentences have been amended to read: ‘Previously, national estimates of PE provision across schools in England were measured using survey data on pupils aged 5-16 years in 98% of all state schools. Data from the Physical Education and Sport survey, conducted annually between 2003/4-2009/2010, show that 90% of schools provided a minimum of two hours PE for pupils in year 1-7. Line 2, p. 5 - 'and during lunch break' should be 'and during lunch breaks' Response: The sentence has been amended accordingly. Line 35, p. 5 - 'This paper reports analysis' should be either 'this paper reports analyses' or; this paper reports an analysis' Response: The sentence has been amended to read, ‘This paper reports analyses of’ Line 60, p. 5 - 'First schools' should be 'first, schools' Response: The sentence has been amended accordingly. Line 2, p. 6 - 'in each of year groups 7' should be 'in each of the year groups 7' Response: The sentence has been amended accordingly. Line 17, p. 6 - 'within these 67 schools both individual- and school-level data available 'should be 'within these 67 schools, with both individual- and school-level data available' Response: The sentence has been amended accordingly. Line 25, p. 8 - 'All analyses are undertaken' should be 'all analyses were undertaken' Response: The sentence has been amended accordingly. Line 28, p. 9 - The paragraph starting 'Table 3' refers to physical activity. When reporting the results, it would be clearer if you referred to total physical activity as per the variable description Line 2, p. 11 - Please rephrase so 'however' is not repeated Line 6, page 12 - remove , between questions and which Response: The paragraph has been amended accordingly.
