Chapter 6: Sleepwalker Spirit and Tinkerbell entered the Enchanted

Chapter 6:
Sleepwalker
Spirit and Tinkerbell entered the Enchanted Dominion and found themselves in a forest. “Okay, I
have to ask,” Spirit said, “Why are the bushes and tree branches in cubes?” “That’s just how it is around
here, Spirit,” Tinkerbell answered, and then looked at Spirit, “I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again; you
have a lot of forms,” Spirit, taking the hint, used his Cryokinesis to make a block of ice so he could see his
reflection. He looked like Link from Twilight Princess with pure-white hair, a black tunic with glowing
blue circuitry and his symbol instead of green. His disc was on his back as a graphic that could turn into
the real thing at will. He was wearing blue-jeans instead of white pants and black gloves and boots with
blue circuitry matching the elaborate designs. “Wow,” Spirit said in astonishment, “And the funny thing
is I think I am as tall as Link,” “I think you’re right, actually,” Tinkerbell confirmed.
Just then, Spirit thought he saw something in the background through the glacier-made-mirror.
He turned around but saw nothing. They heard the screech of a bird and looked up saw a large owl
swooping down toward them, talons bared. Spirit made a quick forward roll and dodged it. The owl
landed on a tree branch. They took a good look at it. The owl had big red eyes, its feathers were all
ruffled, and its beak had a few small cracks in it. But the most noticeable feature was that it was wearing
some kind cape, which itself was tattered. Easily recognizable when a breeze blew by, which one did.
The owl dropped down from the branch and onto the arm of a woman. The lady’s skin was pale white
and had many scars. Her attire was as ragged as the owl’s cape. She had blonde hair that was stained
with something light-brown, maybe mud. Or worse; blood. Her left arm was wrapped in bandages with
the owl’s talons creating wounds that bled through. There was another wound on her pointing finger,
but this one was larger and blood was dripping through the bandages. A lantern was tied to her sash
that had three glowing lights in it; pink, blue, and green. The woman’s face was truly frightening. Her lips
were black with some smears around them. She also had black tear marks on her checks. And the eyes
themselves were sewn shut, giving Spirit that same creepy feeling from when he encountered
Cranarella. He tried to strafe around her to confuse her, but her sewn-shut eyes stayed on him as if they
weren’t shut at all. “Who are you?” she asked. “I’m Spirit the Ghostron,” he replied, “I take it you’re
Aurora’s Twisted?” “Indeed,” she replied, “I am Sleepwalker,” “Cliché, but I guess it works,” Spirit
conceded, “Well, listen, Sleepwalker, I have no wish to fight you. I was on my way to the castle, so if you
would –” “None shall pass,” Sleepwalker interrupted. “But –” Spirit started. “None shall pass,”
Sleepwalker repeated. “Please move,” Spirit asked. “I move,” Sleepwalker replied, “for no man,” Spirit
gave her a frustrated stare, “Right,” He charged at her, but instead of going at supersonic speeds, it was
just an above-average sprint. The owl went in and knocked him to ground. “Spirit!” Tinkerbell called,
“Obviously, if you look like Link, you have to fight like him!” Spirit mentally face-palmed and reached
behind his back for his sword and shield. In his left hand was the Guardian Shield; a black and blue
Hylian Shield with the Winged Cross. And in his right hand was the Sovereign Sword; a Master Sword
replica with a black hilt with blue circuitry matching the yellow runes and a blue gem, and the Triangle
Puzzle where the Triforce would be. He mentally set his weapons from “kill” to “stun” and got back in
the fight.
The owl tried to make another blow at Spirit, but he just swung his sword, striking him to the
ground. Then he went for Sleepwalker, who retaliated with taking the lantern in hand and setting it in
the path of the sword’s swing-arch. Sparks flew as Spirit looked surprised for a moment. The sword
would have at least broken the glass. He got a closer look at the lights in the lantern and that they had
wings attached to them. Fairies, Spirit thought. Their magic must have been helping Sleepwalker fight.
Spirit decided to end this quickly and went in for a Hidden Skill. He sidestepped to his left and then
rolled sideways until he was behind Sleepwalker. He then used the momentum and swung his sword,
striking down Sleepwalker and pulling of the Back Strike. It worked and Sleepwalker was knocked out
next to the owl. “Nice going, Spirit!” Tinkerbell congratulated. “No problem,” Spirit replied, “Now let’s
find that castle!” “It should be this way,” Tinkerbell said, pointing to a clearing through the forest.
After some trekking, they made their way across a viaduct to the castle and were surprised to
find everyone asleep, even the guards. “Hey,” Spirit said, nudging a guard with his foot, “Wake up,
man,” He kept trying, but the guard didn’t wake up. He decided to try the best way he knew to wake
someone up. “WHOA!” he yelled right the guard’s ear. “Okay,” Spirit said, “Something is seriously wrong
here,” “Well, let’s look around and find some clues,” Tinkerbell reasoned. They made their way to a
tower, which Spirit found out was the tallest, and made their way up it. “Still no sign of anything,” Spirit
muttered. At the top, they were in some kind of bedroom. He looked around the room before he
noticed that someone was asleep in the bed. He walked over quietly to see a woman in the bed. Spirit
knew this had to be Aurora. “Aw, her too?” Spirit moaned. “Guess so,” Tinkerbell said. “Okay, we need
answers,” Spirit said. “Well, what do you suggest?” Tinkerbell asked. “Well,” Spirit said, “One advantage
of possession is that you can go into someone’s dream,” “You’re gonna possess Aurora?” Tinkerbell
asked. “Yep,” Spirit said, “Unless you have any better ideas,” “Well… no,” Tinkerbell conceded. Spirit
said, “I’ll try not to take too –” “Stop, you get away from her!” called a voice from behind. Spirit turned
around and saw three fairies. One was dressed in red, another in green, and the last in blue. “Wha –
Sorry,” Spirit apologized, “It’s just, I was trying to find some answers,” The red-clothed fairy flew up to
look at him, “Who are you?” she asked. “I’m Spirit,” he replied, “Spirit the Ghostron,” “Oh… You don’t
seem bad, dear,” the green-clothed fairy said, “I’m certain you have a good heart, just like our precious
Aurora,” “So that is Aurora!” Spirit said. “I am Flora,” the red-clothed fairy introduced, “This is Fauna and
Merryweather,” she gestured to them respectively. “Can you tell why she’s sleeping? Don’t get me
wrong, but this kind of sleeps seems… unnatural,” Spirit asked. “A few days ago, Maleficent returned
from the dead, affiliated with Aurora’s Twisted. Now she’s placed her in the same curse as before. A
powerful sleeping spell we once cast on the kingdom before has also returned, leaving it defenseless,”
“You wouldn’t happen to know anything about a magical book, would you?” Spirit asked them. “Yes,”
Merryweather replied, “But Maleficent stole it and kidnapped Prince Phillip,” “Hm…” Spirit said, “Well
then, why don’t I go get them back?” “That’s impossible, dear,” Fauna warned, “Maleficent’s home is at
the Forbidden Mountain. It’s not safe,” “Do I look scared?” Spirit asked, “Besides, we can’t just leave
Aurora and the kingdom like this. I can help. You gotta believe me. C’mon, let’s check out a book and
save a prince!” “You know,” Flora said, “you’re absolutely right. The Forbidden Mountain is through the
forest. Come along – follow us. After all, we wouldn’t want you to get lost,” Spirit nodded, “You up for
this, Tink?” “Maleficent may be powerful, but I have faith in you,” she replied. “Oh!” Merryweather said
as she pulled out some data, “Master Yen Sid told us to give you this. We’re not sure what it is,” She
handed it to Spirit, who downloaded it. A rod with blue circuitry appeared in his hand. Spirit recognized
it and followed the fairies out of the room with Tinkerbell.
Once outside, Spirit got up to a running start and jumped. He then pulled the rod in two, making
it format something around him. It was a 5th Generation Light Cycle. Spirit smiled; he now had a means
of transportation in this world. The fairies flew along with him as the Light Cycle left a blue Light Ribbon
in its wake. They traveled across the viaduct and into the forest. He turned off the bike’s Light Ribbon,
since he didn’t want to encounter Sleepwalker again just yet. They soon approached a magic barrier that
looked like it was made of black and green fire. “Looks like we’re stuck,” Spirit said. “This must be
Maleficent’s doing,” Flora observed. “I know,” Fauna said, floating up to the barrier and using her magic
on it. A hole appeared in the barrier and grew larger until it was completely gone. “Shall we?” she asked
the group. “Yep,” Spirit replied and rode on forward. They climbed the Forbidden Mountain and snuck
into the castle. They got to the throne room and saw some guards on patrol. They looked like pigs and
vultures. “Careful,” Flora warned, “they’re Maleficent’s,” “I think I have a plan,” Spirit said, “I’ll distract
them so you three can go and save Phillip. And maybe find the book,” The fairies agreed and slipped
away. As one of the guards was yawning, Spirit came in. “Worst. Security. Ever!” he taunted, drawing his
sword and shield, “Let’s rumble!” The guards went in for the attack, but Spirit just used a Spin Attack to
strike them down. He then proceeded to use Skyward Strikes to take them out. Each one erupted into
an inferno of black and green fire. “That oughta do it,” Spirit said to himself after a few more waves of
goons, which he finished off in another room. He then saw something from a goon that didn’t burn
along with him. It was a book. Spirit read it; Sleeping Beauty by Charles Perrault. He picked it up and it
started to glow. Then, a dome of magic burst from the book and spread across the land. “What the hell
was that?” Spirit asked. “The curse on Aurora,” Flora answered as she and the other fairies walked up to
him, “It must have been broken when you touched the book,” “Why?” Spirit asked. “Not long ago,
Aurora’s dream was fulfilled,” Flora explained, “Dreams are very strong beliefs. Aurora’s led her to her
true love,” “I see you hold strong beliefs too,” Fauna said to Spirit, “Don’t you, dear?” “Yup,” Spirit
nodded. “You also have a strong light. And not just on the outside,” Flora commented. “Does this mean
deep down, Sleepwalker believes there’s still hope?” Spirit wondered, “Could the same be for the other
Twisted?” “It is possible,” Flora answered. “All right,” Merryweather replied, “Hurry, we can’t stay
here!” “Yes,” Flora agreed, “We have rescued Prince Phillip. He is on his steed traveling to the castle,”
“Okay,” Spirit said, following the fairies out of the fortress, “Let’s go!”
They returned to the throne room, only to encounter a dark figure with their back to them.
“Someone has broken the curse on Aurora,” the figure said, the voice indicating it was female, “Tell me,
boy, was it you?” She turned to face them. “Maleficent!” Flora sneered. “Only ‘cause you had to be a
bitch and curse her in the first place!” Spirit remarked, drawing his sword. He then charged for a Jump
Strike, but Maleficent warped away. Spirit’s sword hit the ground with a clang. He then looked around
the room for her. “A ghostly program amalgam…” Maleficent’s voice stated, “You must be Spirit the
Ghostron,” “Huh?” Spirit said as he saw Maleficent up near the throne, “How do you know about me…
and what I am?” “My powers ensure I’d know just what was threatening the Foe’s goals,” Maleficent
answered, “I know who you are, Samuel Potts,” “What!?” Spirit gasped. “I happened to be in the Ghost
Zone, overhearing your little talk with the Master of Time,” Maleficent continued. “Okay, now you’re
just lying!” Spirit accused. “I was ordered to leave you unharmed…” Maleficent said, “but it seems I have
no choice!” Spirit wanted to fight, but he knew he had to get the book to Phillip and Aurora. So he pulled
out the Bike Baton, formatted the Light Cycle, and made a break for it, fairies not for behind. He
managed to evade attacks from Maleficent and her goons, and began to descend the mountain.
He raced down to the forest and caught up with Phillip. “I take it you’re Spirit,” Phillip said.
“Yeah,” Spirit answered, “I got the book, so let’s go!” “Right!” Phillip replied as they charged ahead.
They reached the viaduct and started making their way across. Maleficent watched them from her
fortress tower and started casting a spell, “A forest of thorns shall be your new tomb… Wound ‘round
Stefan’s castle in a bower of doom!” A forest of thistle bushes started growing around the viaduct,
making it difficult to pass. The men both drew their swords and started slashing away. Spirit then used a
Skyward Strike to clear the rest of the way. “No!” Maleficent gasped, “It cannot be!” She then used her
magic and in a spiraling vortex, shot herself to the viaduct right in front of Spirit and Phillip. “Now you
shall deal with me, Spirit,” Maleficent replied, “and all the powers of hell!” She then transformed into a
dragon, ready to strike. “Guys, get going!” Spirit said, “I’ll handle her!” “Why?” Phillip asked. “Ever
wonder why we didn’t encounter Sleepwalker on the way back?” Spirit asked. Phillip took the hint and
after evading Maleficent, made his way to the tower. Spirit dismounted his Light Cycle and prepared for
battle. Maleficent started by slamming the viaduct with her front legs. Spirit got behind her to stay clear.
He then attacked her from the side. Maleficent then used a double-hit slam, causing more damage, but
Spirit evaded that as well. She then retaliated with fire breath. The same black and green fire she always
used. Spirit blocked it with his shield. Maleficent then tried biting at Spirit, which he dodged. Maleficent
then took off into the air and started flying around the viaduct. She then flew straight toward Spirit, but
he used his sword as a makeshift pole-vault and got above her. He then landed on her back and started
slicing at her wings. Maleficent crash-landed and looked beat, leaving herself open for Spirit to attack.
He then sliced at her head. She got up and created another barrier of fire, blocking all hope of escape.
“Damn!” Spirit hissed, still dodging Maleficent’s attacks. The three fairies appeared and started casting a
spell of their own, “All together…” Flora instructed, “Now Sovereign Sword, fly swift and sure… that evil
die and good endure,” This spell enhanced Spirit’s sword as he went in for the final blow. He thrust the
sword into Maleficent’s heart, ironically. She collapsed and the thistle bushes disappeared. But
Maleficent seemed to disappear with them, “She got away,” Spirit said, sheathing his sword. “You sure?”
Tinkerbell asked. “If she was still here, my Ghost Sense would’ve gone off,” Spirit reasoned as he made
his way to the tower to back Phillip up.
Back in the tower, Phillip was taking quite a beating from Sleepwalker. Spirit almost didn’t make
it. He burst into the room, clutching the book in his hand. “Hold it!” he yelled, getting Sleepwalker’s
attention. Spirit then opened the book, causing ethereal energy to pour out. The energy restored
Sleepwalker into the original Aurora. The original good fairies were released from the lantern. The owl
was turned into a human. “Whoa,” Spirit said, “The owl was the original Phillip this whole time! Who
knew?” “Thank you, Spirit,” original Aurora said, joining hands with the original Phillip and returning to
the book with the original good fairies. “Hey, Phillip,” Spirit started, “We need Aurora to…” “I told him,”
Aurora informed him, rising from the bed. “Huh?” Spirit wondered. “She faked to be asleep to throw off
the original Aurora,” Phillip explained. “Well played,” Spirit said. Everyone said their goodbyes and Spirit
used Eris Control to return to Gateway Tower at the Disney Princess Castle.
