FREE SHUTTLE
The Roosevelt Ride is a free daily shuttle
service. It meets Metro North trains in
Poughkeepsie, and delivers passengers to
Hyde Park to visit the FDR Home, the FDR
Presidential Library and Museum, Top
Cottage, Eleanor Roosevelt’s Val-Kill, and
Vanderbilt Mansion. See back for details.

Take the 8:46 am Metro North train from Grand Central to Poughkeepsie. The National Park Service shuttle bus will be in the bus
pickup area in front of the train station waiting for you. A return bus
departs the Wallace Visitor Center at 5:00 pm , and delivers visitors
to the Poughkeepsie train station in time for the 5:34 pm Metro
North train to New York City.

Guided tours of the FDR lifelong home begin at the Wallace
Center throughout the day.
FDR Presidential Library/Museum
Exhibits allow visitors to experience the lives of Franklin and Eleanor
Roosevelt and the dramatic events of the Great Depression and
WWII.
Top Cottage (FDR’s Retreat)
Enjoy an informal discussion about FDR on the front porch of his
retreat. Bus departs the Wallace Center at 11:10 am, 1:10 pm, and
3:10 pm.
Val-Kill
Travel to Val-Kill for a guided tour of Eleanor Roosevelt’s home. Bus
departs the Wallace Center at 11:10 am, 1:10 pm, and 3:10pm.
Vanderbilt Mansion
Travel to the Vanderbilt Mansion, for a guided tour of a gilded-age
country home, and spend sometime viewing the gardens and
grounds. Bus departs the Wallace Center at 1:10pm.
