HORIZON FOR 2016?
There has been a lot of speculation over the 2016 housing market. In Houston specifically,
it’s expected to sag some due to the drop in oil prices, but it won’t completely collapse — at least,
according to an article in the Houston Chronicle. On a national level, the market is expected to be
“uneventful” next year, according to Redfin’s recent article “Five 2016 Housing Market Predictions.”
The forecast states, “Most economists agree that housing prices and sales will continue to grow in 2016,
just at a slower pace. Call it a slowdown, but not bad news. Moderate growth is more sustainable,
and better for buyers.” It then goes on to detail five predictions for 2016, which are included verbatim
