FREE parking daily for public
transport users at Rashidiya
Metro Station car park
Opening Hours: 24 hours, 7 days a week
•Use your nol Card or get your nol Red Ticket at the entry
gate of this car park.
•Please use the same nol Card or Ticket that you get at the
entry gate of the car park for travel on public transport to
benefit from the grace period and free parking.
•Please exit the car park within 60 minutes of the last use
of your nol Card on public transport or car parking fees
will be applicable.
•There is no charge for entering and exiting the car park within 10 minutes.
Parking fees for non-public transport users:
AED 10 per hour, with a maximum fee of AED 50* per day.
*Plus AED 2 for ticket.
Parking fees for nol Card users:
Proceed straight to the car park exit gate,
as it is not necessary to validate your
nol Card at the Parking Payment machine.
Parking fees for nol Red Ticket users:
Please pay for your Ticket at the Parking Payment
Machine before exiting the car park.

What is a nol Card or nol
Red Ticket?
To travel on the Metro you need to
buy a nol Card or a nol Red Ticket.
There are 5 options available, find out which one will
suit you best on the next page.
It’s easy to buy or top-up a card, or add trips to your
nol Red Ticket. Just go to a Ticket Vending Machine,
Metro Ticket Office or RTA authorised sales agent.
Step 4 shows you their locations in Dubai.
Each time you travel, tap your card on the gate
and it will automatically deduct the correct fare.
It’s easy!

nol Red Ticket
For tourists and visitors
•Paper ticket costs AED2 with at least 1 trip to be loaded and valid
for 90 days.
• Rechargeable for use of a maximum of 10 journeys or 5 daily passes.
•The same ticket can be used for Metro, Tram and Buses – there’s no need
to get another new ticket.
•Daily pass allows an unlimitted number of trips during a single day.
(at cost of AED 20 for the pass and AED 2 for the ticket).
• Ideal for occasional or casual users of public transport.
•Does not have an e-purse account available and must be pre-paid with
the correct journey type, based on the zones to be travelled.

*Cost of a Tier 1 trip
If the nol Red Ticket is initially purshased for a Single Trip within a particular Tier, then
this ticket can be recharged for Trips only within that same Tier (up to 10 trips).

• Holds up to AED 1,000 worth of credit and is valid for 5 years.
• Enjoy the facility to register online.
• Has an e-purse, which deducts the correct fare automatically.
• Holds up to AED 5000 worth of credit and is valid for 5 years.
• Can be used immediately and top-up at any ticket vending machine, metro ticket office or online (for registered card).
• Personalised card with the user’s photo.
•Allows the privilege of using Gold Class cabins on the Metro and Tram.
•nol Blue (gold) Card allows the privilege of using Gold Class cabin on
the Metro and Tram.
•When used on modes of transport with no Gold Class Cabins, you will
be charged the regular fare.

How much should you pay?
When using Nol cards, your journey will fall into one of the
following tiers, based on the start and finish points:
Tier 1 T ravel within 1 zone or less than 3 km, crossing
two zones.
Tier 2 Starts in one zone and ends in a neighboring zone.
Tier 3 Crosses three or more zones.

What is the Metro’s
luggage policy?
• You can carry up to two suitcases.
•A large one and a small one, they should not exceed
81cm x 58cm x 30cm and 55cm x 38cm x 20cm
respectively.
•They must be stowed in the dedicated luggage area,
which can be found in each cabin.

How is the Metro
passenger friendly?
•Contrasting tactile guidance path for the visually
impaired.
•Ticket counters within easy reach for wheelchair
users.
• Dedicated toilets for the disabled.
• Lift access to all metro station levels.

• Failure to present the Unified Card upon request.
• Using a card designated for others.
• Using an expired card.
• Using an invalid card.
• Selling Unified Cards without prior permission from the Authority.

• Using Counterfeit card.

• Entry into restricted areas inside Public Transport and Public
Transport Facilities and Services in violation of posted
warning signs and boards.
• Standing or sitting in non- passenger areas inside Public
Transport and Public Transport Facilities and Services.
• Putting feet on seats.

• Selling or promoting, in any way goods and commodities
inside Public Transport and Public Transport Facilities.
• Failure to comply with the instructions of the inspectors or
authorised personnel of the Authority or obstructing the
performance of their duties.
• Using Public Transport and Public Transport Facilities and
Services contrary to the Authority’s instructions posted on
signboards.

• Damaging, vandalising or destroying equipment or seats on
Public Transport and Public Transport Facilities and Services.

• Parking vehicles in areas designated for metro users for a
period exceeding the permitted period.
The following fines have been put in place to ensure you
have a great experience on the Metro.
