 Functional Title: Manager of Internal Audit Corporate Title: Vice President Position Purpose: The Audit Manager is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the overall risk assessment of the International Bank (Liberia) Limited and the execution of the annual audit plan. Introduce computer assisted auditing techniques (CATTs) and other technological enhancement into all facets of the internal audit function. Work in coordinating controls assessments and evaluations with the Management Team. The incumbent is expected to conduct risk‐based audits of existing audit entities (departments, sections, processes, controls and applications) in the Bank. The audits are to be conducted together with both financial and information technology auditing aspects. IB’s systems and applications that are currently in use are of a moderate to high complexity, and are based on a variety of technology infrastructures. The Internal Audit department must be organized to identify significant control and integrity weaknesses that may prohibit the effective design and operation of various departments, sections, and information systems. Internal audits must also include an analysis and assessment of the quality and relevance of processes, procedures, and controls, as well as, data and logic retained by the bank’s applications. Reports To: The Audit Manager reports primarily to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and secondarily to the Chief Executive Officer. Duties & Responsibilities: • Oversee and manage the financial and information technology Audit functions • Ensure the audit work performed is in accordance with generally accepted auditing standards o The work should be adequately planned and assistants properly supervised o A proper study and evaluation of the existing internal controls should be the basis for planning and programming the audit work o Sufficient competent evidential matter should be obtained through inspection, observation, inquiries, and confirmations to provide a reasonable basis for an opinion regarding the financial statements under examination o Prepare and discuss audit findings and recommendations for the improvement of control deficiencies with IB management. • Utilize a risk‐based approach to planning and performing audits • Uphold firm standards and follow firm procedures • Aid in analyzing the audit process to improve efficiencies and effectiveness • Perform detailed review of audits • Ensure consistency in audit files • Recognize audit issues and perform related research • Present audited financial statements to the client • Ensure that current automated audit techniques are implemented in order to more efficiently and effectively accomplish the overall responsibilities and objectives of the internal audit function (CATT ‐ Computer audit techniques, audit software, sophisticated statistical sampling techniques, and automated work papers) •

Make sure that work performed is documented with work papers and written audit programs to evidence the audit work performed and the material facts supporting the conclusions drawn from it Serve as in‐house advisor and consultant on procedural and operational issues Fulfill the various responsibilities of bank directors relating to audits Develop a thorough understanding of business applications, risks and processes for assigned audits Define and analyze data flows for business applications with the objective of evaluating controls over data collection, processing and storage Evaluate data and application architecture of business processes Assess data and application controls against Bank standards and recommend improvements to support the Bank's risk mitigation objectives Assist and support other business and operational audit areas Prepare and deliver effective presentations Job Qualifications & Skills: To qualify for this position you must have: •

Bachelor degree in accounting or business administration, an MBA in a related field is a plus A CPA or CA certification Basic Information Technology Auditing Skills or working knowledge and experience Excellent written and oral communication skills At least 10 years of internal audit hands on working experience A minimum of seven years experience with demonstrated increase in the level of responsibility and supervision High level of integrity and ability to exercise confidentiality The ability to exercise sound judgment in the assessment of IT risks and the evaluation and conclusion on the adequacy of controls, based on a sound understanding of the business processes and technical implications. Good knowledge of database design and structure, database management systems, data integrity controls. Excellent skills in process flowcharting and data flow diagramming. Good skills in performing data analysis and use of data analytical software. Knowledge of banking products, processes and applications would be an added asset. Must observe legal and ethical guidelines for safeguarding the confidentiality of assets Knowledge of accounting principles, auditing standards and techniques, and laws and regulations governing the Banking Industry in Liberia Strong personality, Strong management skills and a team player Only short listed candidates will be contacted for an Interview.
