Select Search and search for TRACcess eKEY. Select the TRACcess eKEY application. Select INSTALL. Select OK. Select the eKEY icon shown in the applications list. Authorize eKEY Application 1. 2. 3. Select the eKEY icon to open the application. Select Activate eKEY. Enter your 30-digit authorization code and select Authorize. The Android OS device will automatically connect and authorize and update the eKEY application. In some cases the administrator will give a separate DNS address. If required, follow the steps below to enter the specific eKEY server address. 1. 2. Enter the eKEY server address and press Continue. If you mistype, repeat this step. Select Authorize. Update eKEY Application Update the eKEY software to allow the Android phone or tablet to access TRACcess devices. The eKEY software updates each night by connecting to the assigned network using the phone or tablet’s Internet service. Open the eKEY application to perform an update. If the device was turned off or out of coverage, the next time the eKEY application is opened it will attempt to update. Manual Update If the eKEY software is expired, obtain and enter an update code. Call TRACcess voice at 1-888-968-4032 to obtain the update code. Enter the update code into the eKEY by opening the TRACcess eKEY application and selecting the Update icon, press the Android Menu button and then Emergency Update. The number of sequential update codes allowed is limited before a wireless update must be performed. Supra eKEY Fob The eKEY fob allows the eKEY application on the Android device to communicate with a TRACcess device using infrared. A fob is not required for TRACcess BT devices which use Bluetooth® to communicate. Open Device 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. Select the Open Device icon. Enter your 4-digit PIN and select Begin. Press the button on the TRACcess device. For devices that use infrared, turn on the fob. Upon success, the device may be opened. Tip: On some Android phones and tablets, tap on the Bluetooth icon and drag the pairing alert down the first time a TRACcess device is accessed, accept the pairing, and enter the 0000 passcode. Access Code If temporary access to a device is needed, obtain an access code from the TRACcess voice system or the system administrator. To open a device that requires an access code, enter your PIN code followed by the access code. Job Note 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. On the Apple device, select the App Store icon. An additional Apple Lightning Adapter is required for Apple products that have the new smaller connection. The eKEY adapter does not need to be connected to the Apple device when not in use. Open Device 1. 2. 3. 4. 5. 6. Connect the eKEY Adapter to your Apple. Select the Open Device icon. Enter your 4-digit PIN and select Begin. Press the button on the TRACcess device. Point the infrared lens on the eKEY Adapter at the infrared lens on the TRACcess device. Upon success, the device may be opened. Job Note If Job Notes are turned on in the eKEY settings, the Job Note screen is displayed after a device is opened. Select Later to return to the Job Notes from the Home screen and enter the job note later. A job note can only be entered for the most recent device access. If the application asks to confirm permission changes, press the Menu button and then Save. Select the eKEY icon shown in the applications list. Select Bluetooth List. 2. Select the SUPRA KEYBOX from the list of paired devices. 3. Select Delete Device and then select Delete. 4. Press the Escape key and Done. Accessing TRACcess Devices TRAC-Box BT TRAC-Lock BT & TRAC-Station BT TRAC-Vault BT The TRAC-Box BT is an electronic keybox that is placed at a site and holds a mechanical key or access card to the site. It can be ordered as a wall mount unit or with a shackle. The TRAC-Lock BT is an electrified, battery-operated, lockset. The TRAC-Vault BT is a vault with an electronic lid that is placed at a site and holds a mechanical key or access card to the site. To open a TRAC-Box BT: 1. Open the TRACcess eKEY app on the smartphone or tablet. 2. Select the Open Device icon. 3. Enter your 4-digit PIN and select Begin. 4. If you are using an Android or BlackBerry device, press up on the bottom of the TRAC-Box BT to turn it on. With an Apple device, point the infrared lens on the eKEY Adapter at the infrared lens on the TRACcess device. 5. When prompted, press up on the bottom of the TRAC-Box BT to release the key container. To open a TRAC-Lock BT: 1. Open the TRACcess eKEY app on the smartphone or tablet. 2. Select the Open Device icon. 3. Enter your 4-digit PIN and select Begin. 4. If you are using an Android or BlackBerry device, press the button on the TRAC-Lock BT to turn it on. The red light will flash indicating the TRAC-Lock BT is turned on. With an Apple device, point the infrared lens on the eKEY Adapter at the infrared lens on the TRACcess device. 5. When the green light on the TRAC-Lock BT flashes, the door handle can be opened. Important: If the TRAC-Lock BT is set to LATCHED mode, repeat the Open Device procedure to reset the lock. To open a TRAC-Vault BT: 1. Open the TRACcess eKEY app on the smartphone or tablet. 2. Select the Open Device icon. 3. Enter your 4-digit PIN and select Begin. 4. If you are using an Android or BlackBerry device, press the button on the TRAC-Vault BT to turn it on. With an Apple device, point the infrared lens on the eKEY Adapter at the infrared lens on the TRAC-Vault BT. 5. When the green light flashes, rotate the thumb lever 90° down until it stops to retract the blades and remove the lid. Note: A solid red light indicates the TRAC-Lock BT batteries are low. There may not be enough battery power to release the door lock. Contact the system administrator.
