make sure to include major battles fought in Virginia

Research & write the recipe for a food item that was popular during the Civil War era. Include a
paragraph that mentions the significance of this food item (ex. made for soldiers, made by slaves
for their owners /or their own families. Bonus: make this item at home (with help from a grownup), and bring in the treat to share with classmates.


Use your artistic talent to show a representation from any historical scene from the Civil War
(battlefield, slave work /family life, portrait of an historical figure)
