Purpose of Addendum The licensee is requesting that capacity be reduced from 192 to 100. The licensee is also requesting additional use space be approved for a summer camp program for children ages 6 to 12 years of age. III. Methodology 11/01/2007 – Fire Safety Inspection “A” rating given. 05/21/2008 – Environmental health Inspection “A” rating given. 06/16/2008 – Modification request received. 06/17/2008 – Inspection completed onsite. IV. Description of Findings and Conclusions A summer camp program for children ages 6 through 12 years of age will run from June 16, 2008 until August 25, 2008. Summer camp hours are 7am until 6pm Monday through Friday. The summer camp program will be located on the 4th floor of the YWCA building. There are two remote stair exits in addition to the elevator. There is one bathroom with 3 toilets and 3 handwashing sinks available for children in care to use. The areas used on the 4th floor for the summer camp program are a 156 sq. ft. library; a 260 sq. ft. craft/snack room, and a 322 sq. ft. general purpose room. There is enough space available for up to 21 children ages 6 to 12 years of age. The summer camp program will also utilize the main floor gym and swimming pool and will participate in walking field trips. V. Recommendation I recommend that the area on the 4th floor be approved for child care use for the summer camp program and that the capacity be reduced to 100, per licensee request.
