for Evergreen State Fair
Fairgoers of all ages who can’t get enough of their favorite carnival rides can purchase
discounted ride wristbands for the Evergreen State Fair from now until Aug. 20.
Discounted wristbands cost $23, a savings of up to $7, and are valid any day of the Fair.
The wristbands may be purchased online at www.EvergreenFair.org/carnival.asp; by
telephone to Etix at 800-514-3849 (subject to convenience fee) until Aug. 8; or in person at
the Evergreen State Fairgrounds administration office between 10 a.m. and 4 p.m.
Monday-Friday (no convenience fee).
Visitors will find children’s rides near the east-side Blue Gate, including family rides such
as the Americana Carousel, Looney Tooter Train, Wacky Worm Kid Coaster, and the Tea
Cups that are perfect for children not ready to brave the rides alone.
The spectacular and major rides are located just inside the west-side Red Gate. New this
year is the “Freak Out,” a ride towering 70 feet high where passengers are secured by
over-the-shoulder. Once the ride begins, the seats slowly rotate as the entire boom begins
to swing horizontally. Riders will reach a height of more than 40 feet in the air while the
passenger seats rotate. Other rides at this year’s fair include the high speed, multi-story,
Zillerator roller coaster, the Raptor, Energy Storm, the Cliff Hanger, Tornado, Supershot,
Thunderbolt and more.
Find a complete list of rides, height requirements, coupons, safety and general information
on the Evergreen State Fair’s website, www.EvergreenFair.org.
Butler Amusements is the the largest carnival in the western United States, and is owned
and operated by four generations of the Butler family. Butler provides the newest and most
exciting rides and attractions available in the carnival industry.
“Experience Animal Magnetism” is the theme for the 2014 Evergreen State Fair, which
runs Aug. 21 through Sept. 1 at the Fairgrounds, 14405 179th Ave SE, Monroe, WA.
