The book tells the incredible true story of the Fugees – short for refugees – a soccer team of refugee kids living in Clarkston, Georgia. The book is an engaging look at what it was like being new to America, and how the town itself learned to adapt, benefit, and grow along with their new neighbors. There are several ways to get involved: • Read the book! The library can assist in finding copies if needed; • Come to one of our book discussions in July, offered for both teens and adults; • Learn more about refugee issues by coming to any of three programs in June, all geared for adults and high school students. See the General Events page for more detail. programs Sensory Storytime A storytime that engages children by movement, body awareness, and other sensory activities.
