RA Spotlight:
This week Lauterbur Hall RHD Carmela
Barbagallo would like to shine the spotlight on
three RAs from her staff: Brenton Murphy, Laraib
Ijaz, and Justin Williams. These RAs have
consistently demonstrated a high level of
dedication and commitment to the building.
Remember- you can spotlight an RA at any time
just by dropping an email to
[email protected].
Who is that guy?
Theodore Herman Albert
Dreiser (August 27, 1871 –
December 28, 1945) was an
American novelist and
journalist of the
naturalist school. His novels
often featured main
characters who succeeded at
their objectives despite a
lack of a firm moral code,
and literary situations that
more closely resemble
studies of nature than tales
of choice and agency.
Dreiser's best known novels
include Sister Carrie (1900)
and An American
Tragedy (1925).
The RA's in Kelly Quad are actively
planning the Kelly Quad Fire Safety Week
(week of October 22). Programs have been
designed to target some fire safety concerns
that we have experienced in the quad this
school year by spreading the word about
fire safety and ensuring residents are aware
of the fire safety guidelines. Events include
an Executive Chef Kitchen focusing on
safety, a flameless vigil throughout the
quad, and a special program hosted by a
fire safety expert.
They have even produced a creative, silent
film to bring attention to this important
topic! Take a look:
