Remember if your child is absent for any reason you need to notify the office immediately so that this can be recorded on your
child’s attendance record. If your child’s attendance falls below 96.1% (the national average) we will be required to investigate
this further.
Explosive fun at the Science Roadshow
This week Year 5 and 6 were treated to the Treviglas Science Roadshow. The children were in awe as they
watched the demonstration which included real explosions! They also got to use the science apparatus themselves!

Well done to Ebony who competed
in the final of the
Cornwall school games
at Cross Country. She
came 25th and came
home with a gold medal
as her area Mid– Cornwall won the
competition overall!
Comic Relief on 24th March
This year the staff and pupils
at St Newlyn East will be taking part in a Conga through
the playground at 9am! We
invite you to come and join in
and donate to a great cause! Don’t forget
your loose change on Friday morning drop off!
(If you do forget then we will keep a bucket
in the office for late donations!)

part in Rocket
Car Racing. There were 8 schools competing altogether and our students
managed to score one of the top
speeds of 42mph!

Neighbourhood Development Plan for St Newlyn East
in the village hall on Sunday at 9pm!
