ON THIS FEAST OF THE BAPTISM OF THE LORD we welcome all the children and their families who were baptised
into our parish in the past year. They will receive a special blessing at our Mass today. As we begin a new year, we bless
the Baptism Team who visit each family prior to their Baptism. Refreshments will be served in the Pantry after Mass and
all are welcome.
MASS BOOKINGS FOR 2016 maximum of 5 intentions on any Mass (Months Mind Masses are the only exception).
Sunday Masses in Dunmore are all full for January & February so we ask you to book dates as early as possible.
IRISH CATHOLIC SUBSCRIPTIONS are now due. Cost is €22 – please place in envelope marked „Irish Catholic‟ and
place in Offertory baskets.
INTERESTED IN DIOCESAN PRIESTHOOD? A Vocations information Day will be held on Saturday March 5th.In
advance of that “Come and See” meals will be held on Tuesday January 26th in the Westport area and Thursday
January 28th in the Claremorris area. For more information and to book a place contact Fr. Fintan at 093-24166.
BEREAVEMENT SUPPORT GROUP meet at the Family Centre, Knock Shrine every Wednesday at 11am for an hour. It‟s
a place and time to remember and find support when dealing with the loss of a family member. All are welcome to
drop in any week and further information is available from Monica Morley at the Centre on 094-9375320.
ANAM CARA monthly Parent Evening on Thursday 21st January from 7.30pm – 9pm in the Family Centre, Chapel
Street, Castlebar (weather dependent). All Anam Cara Services are available free of charge to bereaved parents.
MONSTER MONTHLY BINGO continues this Sunday 10th January at 4pm in Dunmore Community Centre. Jackpot of
€500 in 45 calls and a total prize fund of €1150. Complimentary Tea, Coffee and Biscuits at the interval kindly
sponsored by Dunmore Community Council, so why not come along and support our local community centre all
proceeds from the bingo go towards the upkeep and maintenance of Dunmore Community Centre
CHRISTMAS PANTO IN DUNMORE which was held for the first time in forever was a huge success and thanks to
everyone most sincerely for their support. It was fantastic to see the Community Centre full for the 3 performances.
The Cast were amazing and I am so proud of them. They worked really hard and complained very little. The
backstage Crew who came on board were just brilliant. Thank you to Padraig Lee, Kieran Dowling, Philip Macdonnell,
Pat Connally, Martin Silke and John Mulligan. A special thank you to Deirdre Walsh, Laura McGrath, Mary Mullins,
Edwina Mullins, Dee Cunningham and Tommie Knightly for make- up and front of house. I would not have managed
without you all and I am truly delighted that I had you all on board. Galway Simon and S.V.D.P. will be sharing the
spoils.
