The Arapahoe Sertoman THIS WEEK IN REVIEW Dec 15, 2011 This week’s Reporter – Don Smith Song: Don Smith Pledge: Randy Smith Prayer: Rev. Robinson Guests: n/a Fines: Mason for frivolous comments….passed. Announcements: Dean Hiss is STILL at Cherrelyn Healthcare Center and should be out this coming Monday, the 19th. I talked to Mary this morning and she said he needs to learn to give himself shots and other things before he can come home. Rev. Robinson is back, and looking great. He wasn’t at the meeting because Scott was helping folks get packages to the troops and asked for about $140 from the members for postage and what ever, we raised $212. Great work guys. Dick Enslow said he had jury duty last week and it ended in a mistrial, the defendant is “still on the loose”. Doug thanked those involved with the Club Christmas party, a good time was had by all (Young Mr. McKim even found a date to take home). Randy reported Dick Laskey is getting better after his foot surgery and is doing rehab. Kids Xmas party is scheduled for Dec. 22nd. As published earlier, there will NOT BE A REGULAR MEETING. Jim Rees said Bob Cote sends his best to the club. Dick Mason announced that he had no announcements…..no wonder he was fined. The enthusiastic Jim Rees has King Soopers coupons. The club receives 5% but only 4 people regularly use the service. The card is like a debit card so it’s easy to use. We sold a good portion of what we had to the Ralston Creek club. Sertoman of the Day: Young Pat McKim was born in York, Penn in 1968 (Pat thought some of us were wearing underwear that old). He was the last of 4 kids and in 1970, his parents moved the family to Littleton so he went to Littleton public schools. Rick Jacobus and Sam Anderson got him into the club. Pat has known Rick a long time. Pat grew up with Rick and Doug’s kids. Pat graduated in 1991 from CU Denver for his degree as a certified financial planner and has worked at that profession for the past 19 years or so. Pat has served every position in the club except secretary and has been a bingo captain for about 10 years. He figures with his young age, he has brought the average age of the club DOWN to 65. Pat seems a bit disappointed that Ken Kelley is now the youngest member. He is single, has never been married and has no kids (as far as he knows, he says he doesn’t answer the door on Fathers day). His hobbies include everything that takes him where the ladies are, riding dirt bikes and mountains bikes and was in Leadville a couple years ago racing at 10,000 feet plus and passed Lance Armstrong in the race (in opposite directions, Pat finished 4 hours behind Lance). He has no military service. He grew up on the Platt River and his High School, Heritage High, is still standing. His dog’s name is El Guapo and just got a clean bill of health from the vet. He is 14 years old. Listen to PatMcKim.mp3 Program: Pat McKim did double duties. He kind of told on himself about the party he had in his folks vacant house and how the cops showed up four times. This event seemed to have elevated Pat to rock status with his peers. There is no way justice can be done by what is written here, you just have to listen to the audio.
