Birthday Policy Notice*
Parents:
This notice is to inform you of the Kindergarten birthday policy changes that we are implementing
and enforcing this school year. Please be aware that this policy is a grade level decision and may be
different from that of other grade levels.
Here are our requirements should you choose to celebrate your child’s birthday at school.
1. Individual cupcakes or cookies only. No sheet cakes or cupcake cakes. Due to possible
allergies, we appreciate you sending store bought items only so we can check the label.
2. No red, black or purple icing as it stains the carpet.
3. You must send napkins or paper towels.
4. Parents are not allowed to stay to serve the cupcakes. You may drop them off in the office
with a note anytime before 2:30.
5. Birthday snack will be served at 2:30 p.m. or later.
6. Absolutely NO goodie bags, party hats, party favors, balloons, ice cream, etc.
7. Sending juice is optional, but if you do, it must be individual boxes or pouches of juice. Do
not send jugs of juice.
8. When sending birthday party invitations to school, here are our rules: You may send
enough invites for all the girls, all the boys or the entire class; otherwise, we will not pass
them out for you.
Thank you for your understanding and cooperation as we implement these new rules regarding birthdays
at school. Please do not ask us to make exceptions for your child. 
Kindergarten teachers
