Re: Fun Language Clubs French and Spanish !!

We are delighted to announce that with effect from Tuesday 8 November French and Spanish Club will
start at Cassiobury Junior School.
The French club will take place on Thursdays and the Spanish Club on Tuesday lunchtimes for half an hour.
For the first term, there will be 11 sessions taking us up to February half term and costing £60 per child.
All members pay £15.95 for a Club Membership pack, which consists of a colour French or Spanish
workbook which will be used in class throughout the year, and a mini picture dictionary, with access code for
Babelzone, our fun interactive, educational language website with lots of activities, songs, animated stories,
worksheets, quizzes, phonics and interactive games for young learners.
We recommend that as well as your child’s weekly language lesson, they log on to the website once or twice
a week to maximise their learning.
The sessions will be open to all children in years 3,4,5 and 6 and will follow the recognised and structured 4
year key stage 2 course. All 4 language skills of Speaking, Listening, Reading and Writing will be covered
with regular half termly assessments. The language is taught in a fun entertaining way with lots of songs,
dancing, games, drama and activity sheets.
To reserve a place for your child(ren), please email your child’s, name, class, year group and language they
would like to learn to [email protected] by Friday 21st October. We regret that parents who try
to reserve a place after this date will be put on to our waiting list for next term, as no places will be offered
after this date.
Places will be offered on a first come first serve basis. If we are able to offer your child(ren) a place we will
notify you by email on Monday 26th October with details of how to pay. Please note that no payments will
be accepted via the school office.
