The cost of buying x number of pizzas is 9x. The cost of garlic bread is $3 a loaf.
The cost of y loaves of garlic bread is 3y. Use the expression 9x 3y to find the
cost of 4 pizzas and 7 loaves of garlic bread.
11. Mental Math Evaluate the expression 79x 81y 9z for x 2, y 1, and z 0.
12. Janet has $12.75, and she wants to buy a game for $15.95. How much more money
does she need? If the game goes on sale for $2.00 less, will she have enough money?
