GYPSY MOON BOUTIQUE
Beth Moore was ready for a change in
her life and decided to move on the
idea to open her own business. She felt
there was a need in the Harrisburg area
to open a boutique that offered clothing
and accessories, as there were very few
options in that market. She has always
been interested in fashion and enjoyed
shopping herself and wanted to make it
easier to shop locally.
Beth contacted the Workforce &
Illinois Small Business Development
Center (WISBDC) at Southeastern
Illinois College in April of 2013, to
seek help with her business plan and
cash projections to present to the bank
for financing. “I couldn’t have done the cash projections without the help of the counselor at the
WISBDC,” Beth said. She added, “The WISBDC was also instrumental in getting the word out about
Gypsy Moon Boutique”.
Gypsy Moon Boutique opened for business on July 6, 2013 and offers junior through plus size clothing,
accessories, and gift items. The boutique is located at 701 N. Commercial St. in Harrisburg, Illinois and
hours of operation are Monday through Friday 10 AM – 6 PM and on Saturdays from 10AM – 5 PM.
