Gingerbread Recipe Ingredients 8oz plain flour 1 teaspoon of ground ginger 1/4 tablespoon of cinnamon 1 teaspoon bicarbonate soda 2oz margarine 4oz soft brown sugar 1 tablespoon black treacle 1 dessert spoon golden syrup 1-2 teaspoon of milk (depends on dryness of mixture) How 1. Preheat oven to 190ºC (180ºC fan assisted). 2. Sieve flour and spices together in a bowl. 3. In a saucepan add the margarine, sugar, golden syrup and treacle. 4. Melt the ingredients slowly and add the milk. 5. Once the mixture has melted down, pour into the bowl with the dry ingredients. 6. Mix the ingredients until they form on ball of dough - this might require handling the mixture to form the dough. 7. Flour a flat surface and roll out the dough to a thickness of your choice. 8.
